I personally think it is a great design. It fits nice and snug and in case of impact it want damage the Avata 2. If you fly sloppy you will see it on overly aggressive turns, and emergency braking. No big deal. I love it!!!

Mine didn't come with screws but after seeing how it mounts I'm glad it didn't .. The brace which isn't shown mounts through the frame behind the camera module canceling out the gimbal dampers and directing all the kinetic energy from impact straight to the IMU and ESC DJI, I'm learning, has a reason for almost every detail in the Avata 2 and even the slightest mod seams to have exaggerated results

These are like an inexpensive insurance policy. Not sure I need them, but if I do, I'd rather have them than not.

I am still on the fence about these. They look good and seem to be sturdy but can show in the image if not careful. Also I am worried about how they mount up as they go behind the camera and through the frame. I am worried this could cause issues in the future especially after a crash. Also they make it difficult to store in my case wiht fitted foam . I had to carve out a notch for them. They are as described and seem to be sturdy so I give them 4 stars.

The prop guards looks like protect but unfortunately they appear in the frame whenever you slow down or make a turn in any mode. For that reason they are worthless to me.. it defeats its purpose sadly… they need to redesign them so that it doesn’t show in any way.

Coming from Avata 1st-gen I knew how critical these gimbal guards can be to protect the delicate camera. To my surprise these light weight gimbal guards are even better than its predecessors -- no modifications to avatar 2 whatsoever, don't even have to take out a single screw, fits really snug. And the best part -- it matches the orange trim color perfectly! Highly recommend.

En general es fácil de instalar, pero solo duro dos vuelos el accesorio ya que por la vibración, velocidad, aire o lo que sea, los pernos se fueron soltando hasta caerse totalmente del aparato.-Ahora tengo que buscar pernos nuevos y a futuro revisar antes de cada vuelo que los pernos se encuentren muy bien ajustados y esperar que no se pierdan en el vuelo.

This gimbal guard is well-made, truly. It’s very simple and easy to install, anybody can do it. The ONLY negative thing about it is that it partially blocks the factory gimbal cover from fully locking in place at the top. You can get the factory gimbal cover to attach about 80%; it snaps in place just fine below the camera, but not fully at the top. But honestly, I’ll just get a different gimbal cover on Amazon to work around it. I love this gimbal guard otherwise🔥
