Microwave Anti-Splatter Cover 11 12 for Food, Clear, Microwave Plate Dish Covers for Oven Cooking, Guard Lid with Steam Vents BPA Free Large 11.8 Inches

So far this Microwave Food Cover has worked really well for us. I have a couple of Le Creuset casserole dishes that didn't come with covers. This cover fits over them perfectly, and is much better than wasting plastic wrap every time I want to use them in the microwave. For re-warming bread or rolls, the cover keeps in the moisture so they don't dry out. Our plates are larger than the cover, but it works very well sitting on top of the plate. In fact, I think it is better than if the plate fit inside because moisture drops do not fall to the outside of the plate. To store it, we keep it either on top of the microwave or inside of it. So it is handy at all times. Most of the time cleaning it is no more than wiping the water droplets from the inside with a paper towel. To-date, I have found so many ways to use this Microwave Food Cover that I used to have to use either plastic wrap or paper towels to contain the food splatter and the loss of moisture. The small handle on the top of the cover is large enough to remove the cover without having to touch the hot outside of the cover. I would highly recommend this cover for anyone that uses the microwave regularly.

Haven't used it yet, until I clean my microwave, which is a bit difficult, having to stand on a stool. From then on, with my new cover, no more problems! The Important reason why I chose this type WITH ONLY TWO VENTS, because it is sufficient and CAN YOU IMAGINE CLEANING THOSE OTHER MICROWAVE COVERS WITH A MILLION WHOLES?Also, the Microwave Recipes (on line) are GREAT! I had to email through their contact in their web to request the promised cooking recipes because their website didn't have anything to click on to get it. I mentioned to them that they should correct it in their website.It was worth my effort. I saw a recipe about cooking an egg in the microwave with a method I never saw before and I'm anxious to try. It seems that I would work. I saw other simple great recipes. I will suggest to them to improve the dessert recipes. Five out of them are chocolate, I'm allergic to chocolate and three others banana and cinnamon which I'm allergic also. You will enjoy the rest of the cooking recipes.

This appears to be, as it says, BPA-free and it's a nice high-dome cover. There is no number inside the triangular recycling logo but it does have 'pp' which indicates polypropylene, a relatively safe plastic without BPA. It's also a lot more transparent than it looks on the picture, which is a good thing. I would have given it 5 stars if the cover was easier to lift off the food; the 'handle' on top, molded into the plastic, is difficult to grasp, it's small and quite slippery. So, if you're OK with using two hands to use the cover it's a good buy. I often like to check the food to see if it's hot enough before getting the plate out of the microwave as my oven is fairly high over the stove, if your microwave is on your counter it might not be so much of an issue.

This cover is a tiny bit too small. It needs to be bigger or smaller. Right now it ALMOST fits around the edge of my Corelle plates, but needs to be maybe a 1/4th inch bigger. At the size it is, it won't sit well on my plate. This means that the cover has a tendency to fall off as the plate is spinning, allowing food to splatter against the inside of the microwave. If it were a quarter of an inch smaller that would also be better, as it could sit on the plate without falling off.Ideally, I'd like it to be bigger: the same width as my old microwave cover (I think it's the Nordic Ware 10.5 inch Spatter Cover, ASIN: B000BOA2D0), as that cover was nice in that the edge fit around the lip of my Corelle plates and sat comfortably on some bigger plates I had. And the Nordic Ware cover also seemed to be of a more durable plastic (less brittle), but I don't know if it was bpa-free like this one. HOWEVER, I replaced my old Nordic Ware cover with this one because it wasn't tall enough and would often rest on the top of my food (ick!).The height on this cover is much better, but not great. I wish it were even taller, preferably at least another inch, as then I could use it over some bowls I have. It looks much taller in the Amazon product photo than it really is. However, if you look carefully at the photo you will notice that the top inch is the handle. Also, the vent goes down into the lid instead of up like the handle. As a result you lose a tiny bit of the height--which is the main reason anyone would buy THIS cover.This cover is better than most, but not perfect.A cover is much better for the environment than wasting plastic wrap, but the way all the other covers are so short you'd think that all we ate was pancakes!

I love using this. When heat up rice inside of pouch that is frozen, I don't add any water I just put it on a plate with some holes in the package and this thing over it. It always has some condensation inside it.I use it most of the time whenever I cook something in my microwave. It seems to help the item to have a little bit more moisture retained, plus it doesn't splatter all over the place.I was looking for something like this but I didn't want to pay very much. This is the right price and it works well enough.
