Very happy with my purchase. Let me just say up front that my experience with it is for airsoft. This red dot is a great compact unit. The glass is clear, even with the killflash attached, and the dot is bright and easy to acquire. I have been very impressed with the build quality. It is very robust and well put together. The controls do not feel mushy and are easy to operate with gloves. Easy to adjust for windage and elevation without additional tools, just use the caps. For airsoft, I can’t recommend this highly enough. It is the perfect combination of cost and performance, and the extras is the icing in the cake. Usually its tough to find all of the accessories that this comes with out of the box. The kill flash is the big one for me, but to also have flip up covers, two mounting options, extra batteries, and a nice case really sets this sight apart from its competiton. Great product at a great price!

Bought this for my airsoft gun (G&G F2000):This thing feels and looks great. I like how it looks with the slightly slanted back (or forward depending on how you mount it to the sight) riser rather than the typical straight up and down riser most sight come with.It comes in a plastic small latching box filled with foam with the red dot sight, a regular cowitness mount, the riser mount, 3 total CR2032 batteries (one is preloaded in the sight), a cleaning cloth, the instructions, a small hex Allen key and a torx Allen key for changing the mount and attaching the mount, a set of shorter screws that are for the taller riser mount, and also the killflash attached to the sight and two spring loaded flip up friction fit lense covers.The riser sits at the perfect height so my airsoft mesh mouth guard over my cheek has a good cheek weld that rests perfectly so my eye is level with the sight, I don't have to hunch over or bend my head much at all to see clearly with the mesh face guard on.One issue I found (at no fault to the sight) is that I have discovered I have an astigmatism. The dot to my eye is made up of a clump of dots slightly scattered but it isn't that bad at all when I aim down the sight and look at targets off in the distance and having the brightness not cranked up of course, so now I have to go get my eyes checked and/or in the future get a proper holo sight instead (since those don't get affected by astigmatisms).If you want to see if your sight is defective or if you have an astigmatism (if you don't already know like me) you can look at the laser and rotate the sight. If the dots don't rotate with it and it stays in the same spot in reference to your head then it's your eyes and not the sight / laser. You can also take a picture of the laser with your camera and if your camera can see a clear / clean dot then it's your eyes.

I'm a shotgun guy and I need red dotsd that will hold up under the substantial recoil of a 12ga shotgun. This red dot is on a Remington V3 short barreled semi-auto. Four outings with this red dot installed and it has been reliable and accurate once dialed in. It has kept zero. I have destroyed several other red dots on 12ga's. One died on the 7th shot. This sight has held up to the abuse of the 12ga very well. I prefer a larger reticule but have gotton along just fine with this one. I can recommend this item. I have had no issues to date.

I purchased the VRD501 red dot sight to put on a mark iii 22lr target pistol on June 8th, 2023. I was very pleased when it arrived. Great packaging, everything needed was included, the dot was very visible, it felt very durable and I was excited to get to the range. Unfortunately I was unable to try the sight out until August 12, 2023. I was very impressed and had it sighted in pretty close within 10 rounds. Unfortunately it only lasted 33 rounds and went dark. It just stopped working. I tried the on/off switch, shaking it. Nothing. I thought maybe it was the battery and swapped it out for a new one but, the new brand name battery didn't fix the problem either. The user manual didn't offer much assistance other than contact information and verification of a 1 year warranty. I was hopeful since the 30 day Amazon return expired before I had a chance to make it to the range.Unfortunately there is no customer service. 3 emails and no response. Looks like I'm out the money.Save your money and buy a better brand. Having a 1 year warranty is only helpful if you can contact the company. The lack of customer service leades me to believe they have never had the intention of standing behind their products. What a waste of time and money.Update 9/17/2023: I ended up hearing from the Votato store after submitting my review and after a couple of emails, they sent me a complete new replacement. It lights up as it should and I am hopeful it will work longer than the original. I will further update my review after I have had the opportunity to get some range time in.Update 11/24/23 I was able to get some range time in and so far, so good. Really hoping the first one was just a fluke. I like the sight. Fits my needs well.

This is a great optic at a great price. Solid construction with good customer service from previous experience on another product i've purchased from this company. The red dot doesn't require any tools to zero it. Ib installed it along with this companies 3x magnifier. Using the riser it lines up perfectly with it. After installing it on the picatinny rail and adding a drop of blue thread locker I tested it out. After several mags it's still maintaining zero and hasn't loosened up at all. I'm not one to spend $500 on an optic and don't expect to throw it 40ft into a mud puddle and then running it over with a tank. So I can't speak to its durability in that sense, but I do not expect to have any issues with it if I were to use it while hunting and it getting bumped from time to time or some rain getting on it.It works as advertised for a budget friendly optic. If that's what you are looking for then this will work just fine and will be money well spent. I liked the hard plastic case the optic came in. It includes extra batteries and came with an allen wrench and T15 (star shaped) wrench. My only complaint is the T15 should be a T20 for a tighter fit.

This 2 MOA red dot sight is amazing for the price. If you're not into going to real battle with it, it will be perfect. For your everyday range day with tacticool gun it's awesome. I will test it with .22LR, 9mm and 5.56mm calibers to know how much recoil it can endure but i'm really amazed. A great budget red dot... Great competitor to Vortex. Don't know about Votatu's warranty but I have also their green laser that goes on rifles and i'm really glad with the quality of their products. Wowwww. 👍

Put this red dot on my FX-9I must say, for less than $100, this unit is pretty accurate.I put 1000 rounds thru my firearm with this red dot, and it’s super accurate from 10yrd-40yrd.Only thing I wasn’t happy with was that the actual red dot is a bit “blotchy”I informed the manufacturer, they told me to return it so they can inspect.I didn’t bother, as it’s not that bad..All in all..for the price, I’m satisfied with it.
