I got these to connect some remote control wires to a piece of equipment. I wish I had looked closer before purchasing as this wasn't quite what I wanted. First, it didn't plug directly into the female connector on the equipment as both have those internally threaded hex head screws sticking out of them. This prevented the two from mating correctly. The metal shell is held on by those as well. To get it to work I had to remove the screws from this item and then I could get it inserted into the other connector, then I turned the screws I removed around and screwed the shafts of those into the hex heads of the one on the equipment.It has a sticky pad on the bottom which I suspect is for slapping onto either the back of a piece of gear or the side of a rack, then a short jumper cable would go from the front of this item to the piece of equipment. To me this at least partially defeats the purpose of having them. They can be made to work, but they're not as plug and play as I was hoping.
