Great for teaching kids as well.
My husband got this as a toy for himself and now the grandkids love to play with it.

Cool robotic arm!
The media could not be loaded. Used to make a halloween project with my daughter. Json usage instructions could use some examples. We used it with an arduino. Shoulder joint is the weakest link (we stripped out one of the servos) and could use a beefier servo. Watch the acceleration and momentum or it will strip out.

Easily the best arm for the price point
I ordered one of these arms to use on a humanoid robot I’m building. Upon unboxing, it was up and ready to use via the Wi-Fi interface in under 2 minutes. It’s a good size with solid human comparable reach and just in a quick test it could pick up a game controller (by the wire) at full extension with no problem. The mount holding the LED also offers possibilities for adding cameras to the end effectors which is a bonus. This is easily the best robotic arm I’ve seen at this price point. Highly recommend.Just be aware the documentation is on waveshares website as there are no instructions in the box.

Not super impressed
Came in missing screws base was not attached to arm. While fixing it one of the screws stripped. Power cord is really short and couldn't reach now I need an electrician to add outlets for a dedicated circuit.

Smooth, Strong, Expandable, and a Great Price?! This is an Amazing Robotic Arm!
This arm is beautiful, robust, and pretty amazing at this price point! It has a very smooth movements. Easily controllable via several different methods including a direct web interface via IP address as soon as you power it up. It is also expandable with sensors, cameras, and more SBuss servos. Although I did read that you will want to purchase waveshare servos to avoid any complications with compatibility however, I don't see this as an issue because their servos are strong and reasonably priced. Overall I am quite impressed with the WaveShare M2 arm!

Great way to learn robotics programming and implementation
This is a good entry to learning robotics and programming for robotic systems. It does have a limited lift weight of about 1.1lbs and the motors are not incredibly strong. It comes with rubber bands to attach to the different joints to assist. Having some stronger motors would be nice. It says it is direct drive, but the way the mechanism is set up, this does not appear to be the case. Comes with a ton of accessories and is pretty much ready to use out of the box. This is a good base to use that you could modify and customize to your liking on your journey of learning.

So cool...
I haven't had a lot of time to play with it yet, but this is a fun project, documentation is available at the manufacturer's website, and basic controls can be used through a web browser via ip address.
