This is our review for the Steam VR USB Dongle Receiver.We ordered this to have a spare in the event that one of our other ones fail.When we tested it, it worked well and it seemed to have the same range. It does have a really cheap look to it, but it does the job.Overall, this is a 4-star product. We feel that based on the performance we would recommend it to others, but not something you'd want to give as a gift or show off to people, based on it looking rather cheap.

SteamVR sees trackers paired to it just fine, it sets up easily, and works just like any other. I wouldn't be surprised if I were to open it up I'd find the exact same hardware inside a vive, etee, or tundra dongle, but I won't, because it's too useful.You could use one of these to use an old vive wand as a hiptracker; I'm told the big sensor ring on them makes them very good for that. Or any other shenanigans you'd use a SteamVR dongle for.
