Does the job
It does the job and doesn't ask for much. Feels heavy and sturdy in the hand, it connects securely on both sides.I use it to connect two 3m long cables together, the MIDI out of an Alesis controller powered by a 6V adapter to the soundcard, so not super long cables but no issues for me.Cant tell how the increase in impedance might effect connections across longer cables or with weaker USB powered devices.

Neat gadget.
A really useful connector. I use it to add coloured short MIDI leads to the ends of an 8-way MIDI lead, making identification easy. Very neatly made.
