What a great tool
It is cheap and a great tool for translating and reading aloud. Others are up to 200 dollars. The only downside is that it doesn't have an earphone jack and it only connects via Bluetooth. This is a problem at schools with no cell phone and air pod policies.

Works, but a little laggy
Easy to use, wi-fi and offline capabilities, and accurate translations. This translator work fairly well; it's loud, fairly clear voiced, and easy to set up. My biggest problem with this would have to be the lag from scanning to speech. You also have to rescan the sentence a few times because it misses out on words. It s definitely a handy device, especially if you're traveling to different countries and you don't speak the language.

Amazing technology . . .
I have to say that I'm impressed with the Translation Scanning Pen, Text to Speech Device for Dyslexia. What an interesting concept. Although I have faced a lifetime of dyslexia, there were no methods to determine such an issue, or treatment for dyslexia when I was growing up. I never admitted that I had difficulty reading long books in college. No one ever knew, but me.We have heard it said that the body develops different ways to cope with certain disabilities in order for the individual to adapt. For instance, blind people often develop a more advanced sense of hearing than their seeing counterparts. In my experience, I developed an amazing "audio-graphic" memory, that helped me to cope with learning large amounts of material, and being able to iterate verbatim those words, and concepts. It would have been nice to have a pen capable of reading to me. This one can do that.Dyslexia is not caused from a deficiency, but it is a different way in which the brain processes information. Interestingly, the way the brain processes information is in a much more complex manner. Not only capable of providing an audio recitation, this pen can translate 12 common languages. I did find that it isn't capable of reading tiny print. It tends to skip lines. Also, the voice sounds computer generated. It does not mimic normal speech. There may be a way to speed up the reading that I have yet to discover.Despite these things, I think this pen could be very useful for students, and for those with reading difficulties.
