I can't go back, this is a game changer!
The media could not be loaded. ---I recently added the SwitchBot Curtain 3 to my setup, and it’s been a game-changer. Out of the box, it paired effortlessly with my SwitchBot app—just clip it onto the curtain rod, follow the simple on-screen prompts, and you’re done. The battery life is outstanding: I only needed to recharge it once since January 4th—a span of about four months—even though it cycles far more than once per day with every lock and unlock. What I love most is its versatility. It works with almost any curtain type—light sheers, heavier drapes, and everything in between. I installed mine on a door curtain to combat a constant draft: whenever my SwitchBot Lock Pro locks the door, the curtain closes automatically, and it opens again when I unlock. This automation has made a noticeable difference in keeping warm air inside on chilly mornings.Despite a few run-ins (literally) when I’ve flung the door open before the curtain had a chance to move, the device still works flawlessly. It’s picked up a few scuffs, but the build quality is tough and reliable. At its price point, the Curtain 3 is very reasonable—especially considering how much it improves home comfort and convenience. I only needed one unit on my door-side curtain rail, but it tackled my draft problem perfectly, even when I’m away from home. Highly recommended for anyone looking to automate and insulate without breaking the bank.

Brilliant piece of kit.
Got these to replace the curtain 2. The batteries stopped charging after 3 years. You'll need a SwitchBot Hub 2 to link to your home ecosystem. I reset mine to factory settings to ensue there were no errors carried over from the old ones. Added it to the Apple Home app. This took a few minutes. The curtain 3 bots were set un in about a minute. The app walks you through the steps, and you can watch a video on the SwitchBot site.Calibrating them took 15 seconds or so. Once that was done, you add them to the hub, which adds them to you ecosystem.Once set up, it was time to test. I asked Siri to close the curtains, then open them. Voice control works great. They were pretty quick to respond. They're compatible with both rod and track, so you need to make sure you order the right ones. They a bit big, but you don't notice them because they're hidden behind the curtains.Once I was happy with them, I created some automations that close the curtains at sunset, open them at a certain time if I'm out. Everything works as it should.

Almost Perfect
The device came well packaged with good instructions. Battery life is excellent and the motors are strong enough to move even heavy curtains. Only issue I’ve had is the curtains getting stuck on the extendable poles even when using the supplied joiner. The joiner has also lost its stickiness which means it sits proud and catches the curtains as they try to move along. I’ve had to wrap the prongs with tape to get them to stay down but this requires replacement every few months due to wear and tear. Hopefully SwitchBot can redesign this.

Solid Smart Curtain Solution, Great with HomeKit
I've been using the SwitchBot Curtain 3 for a while now, paired with a SwitchBot Hub 2, and overall, I'm quite happy with them. The fact that the Hub 2 now supports Matter was the key for me, as it meant I could finally get my curtains integrated into Apple HomeKit.Setup was pretty straightforward for both the device and the hub, and getting it into HomeKit was easy. I primarily use HomeKit automations to open and close them based on sunrise and sunset, and for the most part, it works very well. The device itself is solid in terms of operation. They're genuinely quiet, which is a big plus, especially in a bedroom setting. The battery life is also great, I rarely have to charge them, and being able to use USB C when I do makes life easy.My only minor gripe is that occasionally, one of the a pair won't open with an automation. It's infrequent, but it happens. I suspect this is more of a HomeKit automation glitch rather than an issue with the SwitchBot hardware itself, as controlling them with the SwitchBot app always works fine.Despite that small hiccup, I'd still recommend the SwitchBot Curtain 3, especially if you're looking for a smart curtain solution that plays nicely with Apple HomeKit.

They work and do what they say but for voice control you must have the SwitchBot hub to
Very impressed I bought two of these and very impressed there to help my wife who is disabled and struggles to stand but the big thing is in order to work with alexa you have to have SwitchBot hub i bought the the SwitchBot mini from Amazon for just under £32.00 which i really wasn't expecting to buy but once added they work seamlessly with alexa open and closeSuper impressed a brilliant product mine on a curtain pole with grommets and works with ease . And total breeze to set upSumming up if you want voice control you have to have a SwitchBot hub hope this helps anyone who may be thinking of buying

A smart idea
**updated review**Customer service is 5*, bought for bedroom and the quality is good with clear instructions on how to set up and link to the app. Once you’ve got the hang of it, it’s pretty easy to get set up and put it into action. Customer service reached out immediately to discuss some issues had when connecting but their professionalism, friendly staff and passion in their product is something to admire. I fully recommend the company and encourage to buy, hopefully they will sell twin packs in the future for rod curtain rails so that you can close curtains in the middle.
