Perfect.

Helped me perform tests I needed for setting up a complicated power amplifier for my car's audio system and for an extremely amazing price. I love this oscilloscope.

Great for simple tasks.

This is not a fancy unit and will not replace a bench oscilloscope but is great for simple tasks. I’ve only had it for two weeks and I’ve already used it twice.Use 1: I was getting flickering LED lights in my home when on generator power. My multimeter read 245V between the two hots and the sine wave was solid but the sine wave inside the home was all over the board. Some troubleshooting later and I diagnosed a bad neutral bond on my generator disconnect. I initially thought it was a bad generator, this oscilloscope saved me the hassle of a needless warranty claim.Use 2: I bought a new UPS from Costco and it said “simulated sine wave”. Being that I wanted this for some sensitive/expensive electronics, I wanted to see how bad the simulated sine wave was. See my pictures for how bad it is, the first is line power and the second is on the UPS’ battery.

Size matters

Be aware of the size. Somewhat hard to read. Performs as advertised. Connections are solid

Nice intro scope

For what it does, it is a great little intro into osciliscopes.

Super handy tool. Small and lightweight!

Wish I would have known they made these hand held versions years ago! I bought this to set the gains on my head unit and amplifiers for my golf cart and motorcycle stereo builds. worked perfect. You do need a good understanding of how an oscilloscope works to use this but there are a lot of videos out there to help you understand. Very nice product!

Lots of bang for just a few bucks

When I think back to the many hundreds of dollars for a decent O'scope decades ago, I was skeptical to say the least, but I gave it a shot - for $30 bucks (returnable), why not?Since I've been running on generator for several days, and my electric clocks were running way fast, yet the generator was at 60 cps +/- 1, I was concerned about harmonics or distortions..I received the unit this morning, charged it fully, calibrated the 1x/10x probe (yes, the provided tool fit the adjustment cap on the probe just fine) and it calibrated beautifully on 10x. After reading the included manual and playing with the unit a few minutes getting familiar with it, I checked the generator output and confirmed there are some minor artifacts on the sine wave, but not anywhere near as bad as I feared. If I had any complaint, it's that I didn't look for a dual-trace scope so to check phase relationships on the generator's 208 output, but that's on me.The parameter readout on the screen (Voltage, Freq, etc.) is clear, the waveform trace is sharp. Auto dialed the appropriate settings right in on the sampled line, quick selection of the parameters with the "Track Wheel" and adjustment of each with the up and down buttons was almost instinctive.. This is a very cool instrument.Maybe someday I'll have the opportunity to compare it to a calibrated Tektronix scope standard, but I suspect it will be pretty close, certainly "good enough for field work".Full case around the unit, the probe's MCX interface connector is tiny and looks like it could be fragile, so treat it like it's much more expensive than it is and you'll probably be as happy with it as I am..

Works great.

I really like this little scope. Very handy for automotive uses.

So Far, So Good But.....

Just received this scope today and I'm very happy with is so far. It is intuitive and all functions appear to work as expected. I was surprised that this 200kHz bandwidth scope came with a 100MHz 10x probe. I probably won't even use the probe. The manual describes how to update the firmware, but these instructions didn't work for me. I can't get the scope into FW update mode and I don't know where to find any updated FW file. For this reason, I knocked off one star. I emailed a question off to Customer Support. Other than that, this tiny scope is pretty nifty.Update: Customer Support responded promptly. There is no FW update available for this scope.... yet. In using the scope I've found a bug. In Single Sweep and Normal trigger modes, the time base won't run any slower than 10ms/div. This is a problem for capturing slow events. Customer support calls this a normal limitation. I'm rerating to 3 stars.Update #2: One year in and it's still working but I had a problem...I was searching for a way to check the battery charge (there is none). On a whim, I pressed and held the trackwheel button (on top) while I turned on the scope. Bad idea as the scope entered some "Attention" mode and froze. The only way to exit was to push the reset (toothpick in the hole on the side). After that, the scope didn't work correctly. It was as if there were a huge DC offset. The trace was permanently pinned to the top of the display. I recovered from this by performing the auto calibration (long press on the trackwheel followed by the "run" button). I hope this info helps somebody else.
