Exactly what I needed
It fit and didn’t catch on fire. Doesn’t move very much but I have been feeding it. I’m hoping it might grow to 10-12 feet eventually, but generally very happy with its current length

A Perfect Power Cord Replacement for My Printing Calculator
You may find this hard to believe but I can assure you it's all true.On January 6, 1976 I bought a printing calculator from Becker's Office Machine Store in Audubon, NJ.It is a Rockwell Printing Calculator Model 420P.For a number of years, I used it extensively but over the past thirty or so years, I have used it only sporadically, and in recent years I have used it only once a year. I use it to total my medical expenses and charitable contributions to give to my accountant for income tax preparation. (It hasn't done any good for Federal taxes - we take the standard deduction - but it does work for state tax.)Over the years, the power cord has "rotted" - fraying in several spots; I fixed it with electrical tape. This year, I noticed even more fraying which I again fixed with the electrical tape. This of course is dangerous.A couple of weeks ago I was perusing through the Amazon Vine offerings and I spotted this < Basics Computer Monitor TV Replacement Power Cord ,Standard 3 Prong AC Power Cord Cable for Electronics, Printer, Radio,Samsung, Dell, Vizio, LG, Asus, Laptop and More > [ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BS5GD38X?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 ].In the picture, the three-pin end looked exactly like the one on the original decaying power cord which came with my calculator.I took a chance an ordered it.IT'S PERFECT !!!It fits the attachment point of my calculator absolutely perfectly and it is far heavier-duty than the original.I couldn't be more pleased. Now, believe it or not (but it's true!), I have been using the original ribbon (which is now over 47 years old - you can barely read the numbers. So I looked on Amazon and found this < Porelon 11209 Universal Twin Spool Compatible Calculator Ribbon, Replaces Manufacturers Parts M-310, RB-2, 013091, 1 Pack > [ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002VL8Y3G?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details ].I ordered it and it fits the calculator perfectly.NOW - to look at this printing calculator, you would never be able to tell that it is 47 years old. I still have the original owner's manual (and I even still have the original warranty card) as well as the plastic dust cover.I have always liked this machine and, now that I have a perfect replacement power cord (as well as a new ribbon), it has made this Rockwell Printing Calculator Model 420P appear and function perfectly, as it did when it was brand-new.I offer my sincere thanks to Amazon Vine and Amazon itself for stocking and making these two items available - and at such reasonable costs. You may not have a similar device to mine but if you have ANY device which requires a power cord which looks like this one, I can only say, "BUY IT!" I received the 10-foot cord which sells for only $8.99. What a bargain! There are other lengths as well which you can buy depending on your particular needs. So, in conclusion, I can only say --- VERY, VERY, VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!Thank you for reading all of this.Lawrence H. got the job done.
Pretty heavy duty cord and plenty long. I use this on very high end powered speakers and so far, so good!

Should always keep an extra one of these around!
In my case, this was a perfect printer replacement cable. My grandfather lost his printer cable when he took it in for repairs (im thinking they honestly forgot to give it back...oh well) To my surprise, i somehow didn't have one of these with my other spare cables...even though the "figure eight" style is one of the most common for "support" electronics. Its definitely "basic". Not corded/thin or extra flexible, but seems well built. It would seem to me to be an ideal candidate for an "amazon basic" version of this, basic, sturdy , affordable and gets the job done.Typically i cut into a cord to make sure the wiring is up-to spec, but i actually needed this one...so i was unable to verify the gauge used.NOTE: this is only a 2 prong power cable, meaning no dedicated ground . Check if the product you are going to use it for needs that before buying. That being said, i would keep it to lower powered items such as printers, low power networking gear or similar. I've had it for ~2 months now and not had any issues.Likely will be buying another one to have a backup at home.

Basic cable that is used in many devices, keep a couple of spares in your drawer or toolbox
This is a basic "figure 8" type cable that many electronics devices use. This is a basic no-frills cable and works as expected. It seems like I am always "stealing" a cable of this type from one device in order to power another. So I think it is well worth buying a few just to keep in your drawer or toolbox as spares. This will fit many home electronics devices, laptop chargers, etc. I used this one for a Mac Mini and it works perfectly. This is the "figure 8" version with two contacts and a dual-prong plug. Be aware that some devices (laptop chargers, battery charges) require the 3-prong version. I recommend having a few spares of each kind. There's also a less common 2-prong version that has one end flattened; I remember some devices used those years ago (to force a polarization) but I haven't seen as many of those required recently. This is the version that is rounded on both ends of the connector.PROS:Simple, basic no-frillsFits devices perfectlyAvailable in multiple lengthsGood to keep a few spares aroundCONS:None that I can find

Handy 10 Foot Back Up Power Cord
I grabbed this Evaplus Basics 10 Foot power cord to have on hand if I need a long power cord. All the unused power cords I have accumulated are under ten feet. However, I have a few devices currently powered by ten-foot power cords, one being a computer monitor and one being a mid-level pc. We also have a high-end air purifier powered by a ten-foot power cord. This Evaplus Basics 10 Foot power cord is compatible with it (although the air purifier has a two-pin receptacle). The power cord worked fine with all of them. One should make sure that whatever power cord is used to power a device is adequate. This power cord is adequate for most 3-pin powered devices, as stated on the website (at 18 AWG and 10 amps). This ten-foot power cord is good to have on hand, and it’s competitively priced.

Basic 15FT long 18AWG cord, nothing special
This is pretty much a basic IEC cord, besides being 15FT long, the ends look decent and the receiving side is even marked L,N,E for the three pins. This has the specs engraved on it but ways it is 1MM SQ wire size this comes out to about 18AWG, typical for many PC cords, but for this length, it should be like 16AWG. I was able to run a medium size laser printer on it with no issues though. Would not recommend it for large servers, network gear, amps, PDUs, printers/copiers though.
