Picked up this screen for a mini project I started and it’s amazingly good quality! It was so easy to install, looks crystal clear. Very bright and colorful and overall, just an amazing replacement screen! 100% recommend to others who are upgrading or modding their gba sp!

I was really expecting some snags or surprises in this "drop in" replacement, but up to the very end this was absolutely painless. This screen looks great and it is literally a plug and play replacement. At full brightness it looks like a modern handheld screen and is playable in any light.Only two caveats that you should be aware of going in:-if you are lazy (like me) and don't want to wire the screen button for on-screen controls, the brightness is controllable from a hidden touchspot on the bottom right of the screen bezel. It cycles up through 15 brightness settings. I couldn't figure this out at first and was worried about the screen brightness being inconsistent, but this little spot gives you all the control you really need.-It doesn't have backing foam for the screen (like the official ones have installed) but I recommend having a little bit of packing foam to insert for stability. It gives the thing a little shockproofing.

When I initially removed and replaced my GameBoy Advance SP screen with this screen, it had trouble detecting when something was touching the touch screen controls making the screen cycle through all the settings non-stop.However, this was easily fixed by soldering a wire as shown in the video on this product. Now with the brightness button, I turned off the touch screen and can manually adjust the screen's brightness, color effect, pixelization effect, and saturation with ease.

Super high quality and very easy to install. The difference compared to the original screen is huge. My only complaint is that the tri-wing screw driver that came with this kit was terrible. I ended up just using my own. I love how bright and colorful this screen is compared to the original.

It's exactly as stated in the description. However, I will note that the soldering portion is optional. I have no soldering experience, let alone access to an iron; the touch screen works perfectly fine. Soldering is intended to be done if you wish to control the display with the original brightness button.

Bright and beautiful display that is breathing new life into my AGS-001 I got in 2006. No-solder install was as easy as it can get. The touchscreen brightness adjustments are a little tricky so if you don't want to deal with it I'd go the soldering route.

This IPS LCD upgrade dropped effortlessly into my Hispeedo Gameboy Advance SP shell. The colors look great at any viewing angle. The Font looks OEM to the Gameboy. I did not use the included foam backing as there is no room with the metal can on the back of the PCB.

The media could not be loaded. Freaking love this screen! No hard time in well light areas and completely dark areas. No dead pixels and can change the setting of the screen to however you desire it. With the screen being a lot better improvement wise the battery does get drained a little more quickly but not by very much so I’d recommend buying a better battery. I also wouldn’t say that it’s completely solderless since you have to solder the red wire to the flex ribbon to the motherboard if you want to use the brightness button but it is touchscreen to the point where you can change the brightness and color. Other than that I recommend getting this screen and been using it on my GBA ever since.
