Great piece of kit, my eyesight is terrible no way can I thread a needle anymore. So for all my little craft doings this is a boon. Love the light in 3 different brightnesses and the mini magnifier with light is a nice addition. Wish I'd bought it earlier instead of struggling. Definitely worth the money. Can't understand the comments with difficulty getting the back off for batteries I had no such problem.

Very good magnifying glass

This magnifier is much more usful than the hand-held magnifiers or the helping-hand designs with a lens on an flexi-arm. It is just so much easier to get into position and ideal when trying to assemble small devices. It is stable, at the right height to have the obects in focus, the lens has an excellent ring light, and there is plenty of room between the lens and the base to have room for hands to get in. It even has two ruler scales on the base, one side in inches, the other in metric, which makes it easy to measure small items. After using it for an hour, I am wondering how I ever managed without it. The one annoying feature is that the light is operated by a push button which cycles through the sequence: bright white, soft amber, bright white and amber combined, handle light for the 30x lens, off. So turning the light on is one click, but turning it off again needs four clicks to cycle round to the off position. It would be so much better if it just had a simple on off switch.

I love that there is different light settings and it is easy to hold or leave it free standing close to what your working on and the magnification is the best I have had which I have had eight up to now.And it is crystal clear vision wise

Brilliant bit of kit far superior than that other magnifying glass (Ronson I think) little black one.This has 4 different light settings to choose from, a stand, which is pretty sturdy for the glass, measuring rule, mini magnifying glass for hallmarks.Sometimes you have to spend a little more to get a decent product where the battery casing doesn't fall off. Great buy

On the plus side the magnifier works as expected and the lighting is bright and effective.However, it's not comfortable to hold in the hand: it's quite heavy and the handle is large and not a great shape. My biggest problem, though, is the small button to turn the light on and change mode is exactly where you hold it meaning it's far too easy to accidentally turn the light on/off or change mode when you don't mean to. That said these minuses are not issues when used in the desk standing mode.

Great performing bit of kit with both positioning and lighting flexibility.

Looks good nice to use on stand lights are handy and the 30x magnifier is useful
