HEXBUGMouse Robotic Cat Toy(Random Color)

The media could not be loaded. Mouse runs around the floor and it stops every now and again. It goes all different directions and often goes out into another room. Not able to be used on carpets. If it goes around in circles it’s because it’s collected dust on it’s little wheels. As you can see from the video it goes all different directions and if it hits something turns direction. Cat loves it and so do I as it keeps him busy. Battery has lasted as I make sure I turn it off when it’s not in use and just bring it out now and again so he doesn’t get bored with it. I will buy another one later.

This has been a big hit with my cats since Christmas Day - it can be set as motioned sensored and batteries last ages considering it gets played with a lot. However after 4 months, it stopped working. Assuming it was batteries I replaced them (twice), however it stopped moving after a few seconds. This was purchased from a seller, however Amazon kindly offered to refund as they were unable to replace. I will be purchasing another as my youngest cat loves it - hopefully I just received a faulty one.

The product arrived so quickly! Although I was not expecting it to arrive when it did, it proved to be the best timing for it to arrive as my kitten had an op and was sad, the mouse cheered him up. He does not like his other toys so I was surprised when he enjoyed playing with the mouse. Although, the battery did not last very long and I need to change it so he can play with it again. Overall, very happy with the product, would recommend it.

Such a shame. My cat actually loves following it around, but the mouse only moves a couple of times and then it stops, even if she touches it with her paw. I have to go and press the button underneath every 2 minutes, which kind of defeats the purpose of having an automatic toy. Also - the tail is a hazard as my cat bit it off the first night of play and I found little pieces of it on the floor, I had to cut it completely to ensure she would not accidentally eat it. Wouldn’t recommend.

Bought as stocking filler for my two kittens, so they will have a wait before we get to try it out( if I have willpower not to bring it out before then! ). They love robotic fish, so thought I'd give this a go, it looks really cool, nice idea.UPDATE: I had no willpower. Opened it today! It worked, as near to a real mouse my indoor kitties will see. Sorry if photos are not great, I was to busy having fun watching them to take photos. They were puzzled at first, then it went under sofa and they were intrigued, it came back out the other end, were one pounced on it and it stopped, she'd caught her prize. Then it started up again (the stop start worked as described) soon chase was on again. They enjoyed themselves for a bit, and so did I. Cute little mouse, worth the money, haven't had any issues like others yet. Glad I bought it, now I have to look for something else for Christmas!

This is the only toy my cat has been playing actively. I've bought several different toys to have him entertained, but most of the times he was more interested in the packaging itself rather than the toy (especially if it was cardboard hehe).Now despite being old, he enjoys playing with the hexbug mouse as it moves randomly by itself, which catches my cat attention vs other static toys which he plays with for few seconds before getting bored and dropping them. This one keeps his attention for a longer period.Also, the constitution and materials are very good, cause it already flight several times in the air landing on the ground and nothing has been broken yet, not the ears neither the base had damage.The tail made from rubber is also great and he's always trying to catch it with the mouth, he seems to like that material.

Both myself and my cat love this toy!Pros: Mimics the cat and mouse experience brilliantly, by stopping and starting and changing in random directions. Does a good job of moving itself out of corners (but not cables or soft furnishings - you need to make sure the space is clear). Really fun to watch my cat run around after it. Good price for the amount of fun and exercise my cat gets out of it.Cons: You do have to reset it quite regularly, as it will stop after a few minutes. Only works on hard floors.

It does circle-ish movement but a small circle - my cat barely needs to move to catch it :/
