Just the right tool
I remember when these things first came out. I was not impressed. I never thought I'd buy one. Never that is, until I needed it for a specific task for which it was made. This is not a heavy duty tool like an angle grinder. It seems to be just a step below. So if you intend to use something like this on a continual basis, then look for something built like an angle grinder. But if it's once in a while, this will be fine. It comes with the cutting attachment, as well as a triangular sanding head and a couple of hook and loop pads which seems like it could be pretty useful. There's also a scraper type attachment. It all stows together in a bag which just fits it all. The best feature however, is the quick release lever used to change out attachments. It's well made, and locks down securely. I'm glad I bought this. It wasn't real expensive, and with Prime delivery, I had it in a few days. Definitely worth it.

Oscillating Marvel
This device was absolutely a beast! I complete the work very easily. I realized I will need truly different blades and I bought those already. It didn't come with the handle but I had one that fit perfectly on it. I had to work continuously so I was worried about overheating. That didn't happy.Basically is a really good design and I think it will last a lot in my hands. Excellent value for my money! It fit for the job amazingly. I saved a lot of time!Just make sure to buy a good set of blades (I recommend japanese design blade teeth) so you can feel how this machine can take the load easily, increasing profitability by time saving. From cutting pipe, MDF holes with finish grade perfectly done I am really satisfied.I RECOMMEND IT!

One hiccup, but otherwise works well
I received this Wen oscillating tool a couple days ago, but that night when I was checking it out, I noticed that I couldn’t lift the quick-release lever very far (only about 45 degrees) and it wouldn’t separate the clamping spindle surfaces at all. The next day, I called Wen’s technical support to see if I was not understanding something correctly. They were quick and easy to deal with, so I’m glad for that. While they were on the phone, I used a pair of vise grips to use as added leverage on that lever to force it to open. I was really concerned that I might break that lever, but just as I felt I might reach that point, something popped free internally and I began to be able to spread that clamping spindle. Seemed to be working at that point. During the call, he did offer to do an exchange, but I chose to hang onto this one. After hanging up with support, I noticed that, while the spindle opened, it didn’t open quite enough to be able to insert a blade. I found that if I used a common screwdriver to separate the surfaces more, I could then insert a blade. Later that day, I used the tool to do some mortise work on my back door. It worked great and was very pleased with it. The tool still has that issue with separating enough to insert/remove a blade, but otherwise works well. I won’t be using the tool professionally, but it’ll be fine for my intended occasional use, so I’m not returning it. I have other Wen tools and have been very pleased with them all.

GOOD VALUE
This oscillating cutting tool works very well on the wood door jambs I am cutting to allow the vinyl plank flooring to slide under them. When cutting harder materials, I notice the blade gets hot quickly. This is not something that is associated with this particular brand of oscillating tool, I am sure. But cutting for longer periods or harder materials, it seems to be a good practice to stop and let the blade cool prior to finishing the cut. For the few times I have used this one and the infrequent use I see its use in the future, this tool is a good value at an affordable price.

Even better than expected
I wasn't sure about this item but after seeing what the local box stores had to offer decided to give it a try. It works great and seems to be constructed well. Has a heavier feel than similarly priced items locally which is a good thing; I don't understand why some complain about the weight. Think about it, do they want a cheap plastic toy? I recommend this item and am well pleased.
