Q: Has anyone been able to get one of these to conect with a sim card? mine won't connect with verizon

Mine works on T-mobile. If I recall Verizon uses a CDMA network which is different. Maybe contact the manufacturer to find out what type of networks it supports.

Q: It says that this is suitable only for north america. will it work in asian countries like the philippines? i have no plan to use the sim card slot.
