Best I have ever used

One of the best purchases I have ever done. I have been able to work from literally anywhere, in the middle of constructions sites, remote areas in the UK and abroad.Very easy to use and set up, battery holds charge perfectly, small and produces a nice signal. I have used connecting 5 laptops and 4 phones at one time whilst broadcasting live online webinars and events with no flaws in the signal.Pricey, yes, but reliable.

Unleashing the Power of 5G with the NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro

It's hard to encapsulate the marvel that is the NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro within the confines of a single review. Yet, I shall endeavour to do so.Right off the bat, the elegance and sleek black aesthetic of the device garnered my admiration. It exudes a sense of polished robustness that I found genuinely appealing.Setting up the device was refreshingly straightforward, a smooth process greatly assisted by the larger 7.1cm color LCD touch screen. With a few taps and a swipe here or there, my 5G router was ready to offer me ultra-fast, secure internet with speeds up to 6Gbps.The Nighthawk M6 Pro's performance was a delightful surprise. Avidly downloading large files, streaming high-definition content, and engaging in intense online gaming sessions, the router didn't falter for a second. Its Wi-Fi 6E speeds up to 3.6Gbps for up to 32 devices ensured fast downloads and seamless connectivity. Indeed, this portable 5G modem came to redefine what I thought was possible in terms of mobile Wi-Fi.Moreover, the device demonstrated a vast coverage area, significantly boosting my Wi-Fi up to a staggering 92.5m2 at home. This feature truly unshackles you from the constraints of limited Wi-Fi coverage. Whether I was in my garden, the living room, or even the attic, the router had me covered. However, I did encounter a minor hiccup. The companion Netgear app designed to manage the device failed to connect. Although not a deal-breaker, as you can manage the device through a web browser, it's an inconvenience nonetheless.Furthermore, the price tag may appear daunting at first glance, yet when you consider the device's performance, quality, and the myriad of features it provides, the investment seems more than justified. And let's not forget the peace of mind it brings, given its compatibility with most major 5G & 4G LTE network operators and support for worldwide roaming. The NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro's prowess extends beyond its primary features. The inclusion of a 2.5 Gig Ethernet port for multi-gig wired speeds is a bonus that can not be overlooked. I found this feature incredibly useful when connecting the device to my home Wi-Fi router or when a more stable wired connection was necessary for my laptop. In a nutshell, the NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro is an impeccable marriage of design, function, and performance. Despite a minor hiccup with its companion app, the router proves itself as an unparalleled choice for anyone in pursuit of lightning-fast, reliable, and secure 5G mobile Wi-Fi. This is a product that doesn't merely promise a great experience; it delivers on it!

An overpriced device that works very well nonetheless -- Update: it doesn't work anymore

You don't need to read a review to reach the conclusion that this router is utterly expensive. Netgear is probably making an outrageous margin on it.I bought it, however, because I need a stable, reliable, and fast 5g connection for work. It broke my heart to spend so much money on a gimmick that will probably be obsolete in a few years. Having said that, I was positively surprised by the overall quality of the product. The dual MIMO antennas work very well, and the battery life is excellent. Some people complained about the interface, but frankly the current iteration is very good, and works very well with me. Even better is the http interface, which provides lots information and useful features. If the 5g worked rather well with Three UK in London, I must say that the speed and reception quality was significantly better in France with Free mobile. Indoors reception was also much better: whereas in London I had to place my router outdoors and connect it to my computer with a long ethernet cable, in France I would not even have to be concerned by reception quality. This little machine even enabled me to live broadcast my grandma's funeral from inside a church in rural France. The family members who could not make it that day were very pleased with the image and sound quality. Since the router was also connected to a portable loudspeaker, I was also able to cast music in the church simultaneously, without any lag whatsoever. It's true that the WiFi range is not comparable to a home router, but it's good enough to create a hotspot in a roman church of about 400 square meters.I'm now writing this review from a TGV speeding at 320 km/h, on my way back to London, and even if the network sometimes swithes to 4g+, I can enjoy an even better connection than the onboard WiFi proposed by SNCF. Since I don't like to waste batteries, I can tether the router to my laptop with a usb-c cable, which also improves data transfer speeds. So, all in all, a very good product from Netgear that will probably get cheaper in the years to come. I still want to figure out how to connect the router to external antennas, and whether the Db gain is worth the investment. For the time being though, this little device has become indispensable, it has converted all my devices (tablet, phone, laptop, etc) into de facto 5g devices, and provides peace of mind for those who need at all times a stable and fast connection for work and family.---- UPDATE ----After a few months of use, the connection became increasingly unstable, even when sitting next to my provider's 5g antenna. It would stop working for days showing a "No signal" or "Cellular data off" error message. It worked sometimes by doing a hard reset of the device. When I got in touch with NETGEAR support, my interlocutor suggested this could be a problem of my mobile operator. But my operator's support service assured me that they did not prevent clients from using their simcard in a router, and that their fair use policy was well beyond my actual needs. Furthermore, I used the other sim cards from other operators in different locations, and got the same problem. Surprisingly, I found out that manuy other people experienced the same problem (https://community.netgear.com/t5/Cell-Service-Mobile-Hotspot/Nighthawk-MR5200-M5-We-need-your-feedback/td-p/2170780). They have been unable to this date to help me.I really wanted to like this product, but all in all it's been a major disappointment. Buyers beware!

Excellent Product - Very reliable

Overall this is a fantastic router. Great performance and it interacts well with the orbi satellites in a mesh. It's fast, reliable and has good coverage, i also found it very easy to use with Sky Q. Also the app is fantastic, plenty of really useful functions and you dont really need to use the web browser for settings and set up.A few minor issues which stops me from giving it 5 stars. It's not as quick as the Huawei 4G 618 or 818 routers. I could get 125/130mbps on Vodafone 4G+ with those but only around 100 with the LBR20, so the modem in the Orbi doesn't work quite as well for me. However Huawei is a no go for me in terms of security and also you can't mesh that router.Secondly, I found that Netgear Armour had to be deactivated in the app, I couldn't stream Amazon prime with it on, maybe there's a firewall issue there which stops some streaming services.Lastly is cost, I think this is fractionally too expensive, maybe 40/50 quid. The good thing is that it's not just an LTE router, so if good home broadband comes to your area then you can connect it to a modem via the WAN port.Overall a great piece of kit.
