I like the snug fit that it has over the 2nd Gen wired doorbell camera. I originally has the 1st Gen wired doorbell and it needed to be replaced. Hence, the 2nd Gen doorbell that I wanted to protect from swinging keys near the doorbell trying were trying to unlock the door. I would recommend this doorbell cover to my family and friends.

My old NEST doorbell camera started to peel and look unsightly. I also believe was failing due tosun exposure. This will protect all but the camera and the actual doorbell button. It should keep theunit a lot cooler during sun exposure. It also matches the mounting plate.

Does what it claims to do, which is protect the 2nd generation wired google nest doorbell.Only downside is that it is hard to recommend this via word of mouth to friends and family.

Interferes with night vision…

My new doorbell kept shutting off because of the afternoon heat. Even though it was only 85 out, the direct sun was too much for it. I got the white silicone one, and haven’t had a problem yet up to 95 so far this summer.

It was easy to install. No need to really have the doorbell camera off from the wall to put the cover on. Fits nicely.Got this during the winter so far so good, waiting to see how it holds up during the summer since my door is South faceing.

I was looking for a cover like this due to the fact that our doorbell faces the sun for several hours a day so I ordered the white one. The installation was very quick and the fit was pretty much spot on. I checked the camera during the daytime and it looked fine. However, I checked again at night and noticed the entire picture was cloudy. I thought maybe there was something on the camera lens so after wiping it clean I checked again and same issue. I the removed the cover and instantly the picture improved greatly. I put the cover back on and re-checked and again it was cloudy. I think the white silicone "hood" over camera might be messing with the night vision of the camera. I have attached pictures of the camera output with and without the cover -- the cloudy picture is with the cover on.

The cover is missing a cutout which then blocks the infrared light feature at night. This cover will obscure the picture at night and make it unreadable.

Silicone material is very soft and fits over the doorbell perfectly. Easy to install - you can install it without removing the doorbell from the wall. The little visor over the camera provides shade without obstructing the camera field of view.

Great cover. Allows my Nest to better blend in…

Ordered this to cover the Google Nest Doorbell 2nd Gen Wired (as the title for this product states). Opened upon arrival and this is over a cm longer than the product itself. Definitely NOT for the product it states it is for.

Fits the second generation of Nest Hello Doorbell. Provides excellent protection from the elements and seems pretty durable.

Seems to be good quality, but doesn't fit the Wired version as (specifically) advertised. Maybe they labeled their packaging incorrectly so Amazon doesn't know which to send out...
