Robust decent sounding Bluetooth/aux speaker
This is a decent enough Bluetooth Speaker that can also be connected via an Aux-in cable (provided) . It is quite robust - you can stand it on its end or its side and it functions just as well. It appears to be able to take a bit of argy-bargy and purports to be able to take rain and dust - so it is sold as a "take and play anywhere" speaker. It has a rubber housing to protect the aux-in and recharge cable outlets. To hook up to your phone/tablet via Bluetooth, just turn the speaker on and Bluetooth on your other device and search for/pair with "Rhythm 24". To be honest I would rather it actually said this somewhere on the speaker - I've got a dozen speakers and having to try to remember what arbitrary Bluetooth name they have given themselves is quite infuriating! It has a number of modes which just appear to change the LEDs - both in colour and in pattern/direction (or you can have them in OFF mode - my preference!). It has a little volume wheel which works well. It also allows you to change the song (or make calls via your phone) if you are that way inclined (I am not...)You get 24 watts of power from the speaker and it has a reasonably nice rounded and rich sound to it. Not the best I have heard for this size and price but not bad either. It was touch and go whether I would give it 3 or 4 stars - I gave it 4 in the end because my talking books sounded good from this speaker - so this is a personal 4,you may decide it is more of a 3 if you only play music through it and are quite discerning with the full range of sound.

Disappointing
For this review I'm comparing the Boompods Rhythm 24 speaker against my trusty Sony SRS-X55 speaker which is a few years old now.Sadly, the sound quality from the Boompods simply isn't in the same league as the Sony, sounding muddy & flat. To be fair, the Boompods don't sound totally awful, it's just very average. None of the 3 sound modes improved things much, to my ear anyway. For me, poor sound quality is a deal-breaker, especially for a mid-priced device like this one. I was expecting much more for £90. I'd much rather pay a little bit more and get something that sounds truly great from a known brand like Sony. The different light modes struck me as a bit gimmicky. I do think there's a market for speakers which can display cool visuals in sync with the music, it's just that the Boompods lights struck me as pretty basic.Looking for the positives, it's good this speaker is IPX5 waterproof, so a good candidate for the beach or swimming pool. And if you have two of them, you can pair them up for greater stereo separation. My advice would be not to bother though, unless you see them in a 2-for-1 deal.Overall, this speaker is merely adequate, nothing special. It's also quite expensive given its drawbacks. For anyone who cares about sound quality, I'd give this is wide berth.

Great little speaker
The media could not be loaded. This speaker is really beautifully designed to high end. It has triangular shape which allows to safely place it on the table without fear that it may roll off of it.It can be place upright as well. The base has rubberised bottom. The speaker offers range of 10 light patterns when music plays/speaker is in use. We can choose between green, yellow or blue colour of the light and the style they flash/lit up. We also can switch of the light feature to save battery, that's the last setting of Mode button.Speaker is very easy to use. We need to pair it via Bluetooth with our phone, which was extra easy and straightforward. Then we choose songs or radio on our phone and all the sound is redirected to the speaker. Now, the sound quality. Hmm its not as crisp as I expected but it's clear without shhhh noises. At first sound mode it's more likely like sound has been trapped in a box. That's my feeling about it. The bass is deep and noisy, loud as well. We can change the sound setting through equaliser-long press on touch pad until hear sound: bass boost, Vocal boost or boompods studio. I found the vocal and boompods has the best sounds. The bass is a bit like "sound in a box" as said earlier.Speaker has good weight. It comes with strap which is to small to put my hand through. I can hang it somewhere.I love the colour combination here- grey with teal-blue, very stylish and modern. The touchpad on top of the speaker works for pausing the song, skipping to next or previous song. We also can answer or reject the call if someone ring us in the mean time. The volume regulator on the speaker looks like mini barrel to turn left of right. It helps adjust the volume but the biggest adjustment in volume we can do on our phone volume buttons.Speaker comes with two wires, one for charging (USB type C) and one AUX wire.I really like this speaker, it looks lovely and works well too. I don't know how long battery will last as just used it handful of times but for the price at nearly £80 it should be good.I can recommend this speaker, it's good. I've uploadded a video with the speaker but forgot to show how to use equaliser. Instruction is included so it will be easy to find it out.
