Well built, good metal construction. There are folds 'in the right place' to prevent water ingress from the front, but water will STILL be trapped in the door so might wet post when you open the door. The two mounting holes at the back are NOT protected so I would not use JUST these fixtures to mount it, you need the other 2 bolts, or the ones at the base. You will ALSO need to weatherproof these big holes!I modified my box to add a microswitch and a transmitter that signal the house when someone uses the lid, it was pretty easy to do it's fairly well constructed.Also added a folded metal mesh at the bottom to act as a 'spring' to receive packets, otherwise they just are slammed at the bottom without any protection!Only other small nag is that is is LOUD! Postman dropping the lid can be heard 'quite well' and likely my neighbours are also notified when I get some post! :-)

I needed something like this for someone who is too infirm to answer the door.It's perfect. It's large enough for A4 letters and all sorts of parcels.You get three keys with it, too.

After years of having to rely on kind neighbours to take my mail when I'm out, and having to wait for them to be in before I go and collect it, I can now come home, and simply look in my smart post box for mail that was delivered while I was out. It is so convenient. The delivery man can even scan my package as proof of delivery. My children are chuffed and over the moon when they find their parcels in the box. And also I was in two minds about buying it because one review said it was not waterproof, well we have had constant rain ever since I bought it, and I have not found a drop of water in my Smart Post Box. very sturdy and easy to install. The only problem we found was that because of its size it has to be installed so as not to be an eye sore but works well. This being a medium size only takes small parcells but ideal for what we want

So far so good. When I was first looking to buy one some comments were saying that it let in water. Since mine has been on the wall we’ve had some pretty hard down pours and have had no water ingress at all 👍
