excellent piece of kit especailly for those who have dyslexia. Opens up a whole new word. Plus it can be used in exams.

The pen is very clever and my daughter uses it quite a bit at school to help her keep independence when reading texts for subjects such as science or history (ie when reading the text is not the learning task). It takes quite a bit of practice for a child (she is 8) as they have to get the speed right and keep a steady hand, so it’s not 100% reliable, but it can only read what it sees. Some texts it struggles with.It’s expensive but overall I think worth the investment to help her gain confidence about being more independent

Has inspired my son to read books at bedtime. He uses tgis to help him

We emailed as we have a problem with the pen and had no response with an outcome or advice to correct the pen. We have no speaking aloud on the pen bit with headphones it works?

Very disappointed in this product, frustrating to use and did not pick up all words correctly.Sorry c pen not for me.

The unit is meant to help you read, it misses out words within sentences, I'm paragraphs it can miss out some lines, not good value for money

OTHER BUYERS BEWARE! This is not a reputable company they are uncontactable and their warranty is non existant!I bought this for my dyslexic daughter for Christmas, she's had it about a month and loved it. It's helped her read for pleasure independently, which has been wonderful.However... it stopped working, it's just gone dead and won't charge. So I tried to get it exchanged through the warranty. But Amazon directs me to the C Pen website... and the website leads nowhere, there's no link to get an exchange and there's no contact details for support... nothing.There is a US phone number and an email for new sales, I have emailed but no reply as yet. I dont want to call as I'm in UK and it will no doubt cost a fortune to call them and bear in mind that the phone number is for new sales so I'm not even sure anyone will help me.On the C Pen website the information for the UK warranty is one line and says we would need to contact citizens advice for details!!!Lucky for me I bought this through Amazon and I have a chance to return it within 2 months of purchase... If I was outside this duration, I would have to go through C Pen... and as you can see from my review this is a dead end.As you can tell from my review I am deeply disappointed in this product which would be good if it were sold by a reputable company.Please don't make the same mistake as me.
