I bought this to use with my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) with the Intel dual-core processor. I simply plugged it into a USB port, went to Network in System preferences and there it was with a green dot next to it showing that it was active. Plug and play at its best. Download and streaming speeds have increased compared to a WiFi connection so I'm delighted, especially at so low a cost.

I needed one of these to use in my acer laptop as this s7 392 doesn’t have a port for cable Ethernet . I plugged it straight in and windows 10 recognised it and installed itWorks perfectly after a small delay

This ruined my devices: my laptop and another adapter I used to connect this to my iphone and iPad.Initially I was happy when I got the product, it looked like the images and it worked fine. HOWEVER within just a few days this stopped working and didn’t work so my laptop and other devices couldn’t even recognise it to connect to the internet. I decided to order anew one from another seller that worked fine. However whilst waiting it was a nightmare as my laptop no longer was able to connect to any network so I couldn’t even connect to WiFi as usual or use mobile hotspot as ’network and internet settings‘ aspect no longer worked.i did a troubleshoot which identified the faulty adapter caused the issue. Then had to restart whole computer which was a nosing as I had several important documents and online files that I couldn’t even save because of the adapter messing up the network connection ability to connectors ANYthing. Absolute nightmare.Quality is very low, durability is astonishingly terrible, the appearances as advertised however it is not sustainable or fit for purpose for long term use, also with the risk of ruining and tampering with devices as I experienced, would not recommend. Maybe I got a bad batch but certainly not worth the risking my opinion, if buying this, buy a back up one from a different seller just in case as it wasn’t compatible to my windows or iOS devices.. additionally the wire material is extremely low quality as the outer rubber disconnected from the usb port section, so the adapter was very sensitive to the port until it became unrecognisable to the devices. Pretty sure it caused the USB port to malfunction as well so I have had to use other ports for my device. Terrible user experience unfortunately.

At first this did not work at all, but with a little patience and tweaking, all was well in the end.

I got this to start a new job on the 9th of december so just over 2 months later I've had to get a new one, I sit on a bed working from home with a laptop on a 4 on 4 off basis.. so barely move about when in use yet the wires fraid and broke really really quickly. I'm actually still within the returns date that's how quick its broken. For the past 2/3 weeks now it's been impacting my work and disconnecting me during calls with clients. I do not recommend this product as its flimsy and weak

It works quite well, plug and play. Unfortunately one little tap and the laptop will disconnect from the internet. So in order to use the laptop we have to make sure not not move it or touch the adaptor in anyway. If you do this however, it works fine.

I am delighted with this little dongle!!I have a Microsoft Surface running Windows 8.1RT and recently moved into offices which don't have WiFi, but do supply an Ethernet internet connection, so I panicked because the Surface RT is not supposed to be able to interface with Ethernet. So my first week at the new office used up my month's supply of mobile data!An article on the internet published in 2013 explained that the tablet had built-in drivers which could interface with adapters that contained Realtek or ASIX compatible chipsets (you can't download external drivers and are totally reliant on the built-in ones on Surface RT so if there isn't a compatible driver built-in you've had it!), and stating that the Microsoft Surface adapter was compatible with this requirement.I bought a Microsoft Surface adapter for £31.00... and it didn't work... Because Microsoft have now changed the chipset to Gigabit which the built-in drivers in RT don't support!! This little adapter cost £11.00 from Amazon (you can get them for as little as £2.00 direct from China if you're prepared to wait a month) and it worked first time when I plugged it in... what a relief!
