Wow! Impressive!
After looking into a variety of indoor, furniture-looking dog kennels, I chose this one (the most expensive 😑 of course) because I liked that the walls and doors were all metal or mostly metal, the sides and back were at least partially solid (providing a sense of privacy for my dog, who likes to perform secret rituals in hiding), and because the finish was a perfect match for the wood look of my computer desk in my room, which is where the kennel is going.First, the bad:The description is obviously wrong, this is NOT made of wood or even wood byproduct. It is mdf wrapped in a printed and embossed veneer. At this price, I didn't expect real wood, so I knew what I was getting into. The side door clasp (part 15) is placed exactly below the outer cardboard box without protection and broke through the box, got bent and scraped and lost all the black finish during shipping. There was one side of part 15 that got either scraped during shipment (unlikely as the rest of the cardboard was unscathed) or was shipped with damage after passing QC, It is not super noticeable but it is extensive and at this price level it should have been addressed before packaging. Now the praise:The manufacturer was generous with the hardware; at least one extra was provided for almost every screw or wood dowel. The veneer has proven to be very resilient. I was careful while putting it together, but even when I slipped, the veneer did not show any damage. My dog hasn't had an accident indoors in 3 years but even if she did have one in this kennel, I think the veneer would hold up. Even with the expected resiliency of the veneer, I have no plans to let her drink inside the kennel often. The mdf is only 1/2" thick but very firm, there was no bending. The construction of the kennel is very thoughtful and the design is excellent; two crossbars run through the bottom of the kennel and the bottom of the drawer section, so that the kennel does not rely on the sturdiness of the mdf alone. All the cardstock used for the back of the drawer section and the drawer bottoms was very sturdy and wrapped in the veneer on both sides, something I've never seen before. The instructions were thorough and thoughtfully written. It is not difficult to put together, and the packaging material provided good protective surfaces to work on.This took about two and a half hours to put together, alone, using manual tools half of the time and power tools the other half, while watching a movie.Tips for potential buyers:Pay special attention to Step 3; when attaching the drawer slides to Part 4, there is a difference in which holes to use in order to have perfectly aligned slides.I think the biggest issue most people may face is with Step 15: when attaching the back wall of the kennel to the bottom of the drawer section, you will need a short Philips screwdriver, under 4" ideally, or an angled electric screwdriver with not much of a nose. Or a really, really long bit if you want to use a power tool.Overall I am very, very happy with this purchase. My dog (Samoyed, 40 lbs, loves CRAMPED spaces) moved in before I attached the doors, and her only gripe is that it’s a little too spacious 🤔 It looks great, is very sturdy, and is likely to last a very long time.

Doggy Crate Works !
Doggy Crate is spacious and is only used at night time for an active 3 year old dog who quickly acclimated to his new night time home. It is an easy build with everything labeled and all tools minus the Phillips head screwdriver are included . The assembly took approximately 3 hours with one person. The drawers are sturdy and it does lock but the locks appear flimsy as they only lock into the wood above. I believe this is a great addition for our family and its heavy enough were I do not believe our 20lb dog would be able to flip the crate, however it does come with straps that can be added to the wall if you have a dog that may need that or have made it top heavy.

Worth it!
Very easy to construct. You only need a drill and screwdriver. Took about 2 hours to assemble. It is not real wood but feels very sturdy and looks great. I’m excited to use it for my therapy dog!

Wow.
This is an awesome piece of furniture and a dog crate that my 3lb Chihuahua loves. The large wood pieces are heavyweight and not flimsy at all. The drawers slide nicely and fit all his stuff like leash, harness, clothes, bags of treats, brush, etc. The front doors have a magnet and latch to secure the doors closed. The inside fits his beehive dog bed and another flat dog bed so he isn't on the wood itself. He likes it and hangs out in there when the doors are open. The assembly wasn't bad. It took me a few hours and I had to correct a mistake I made.Overall I love it and am very happy with the purchase.
