Useful and inexpensive.
A potentially useful assortment of brushes. I used Royal and Langnickel brushes after I had a stroke, because I thought they would be more ergonomic and easier to grip than my traditional brushes, which have wooden handles. I was very surprised to be favourably impressed by the quality, at such an extremely reasonable price. I found them of as good quality as my much more expensive "art" brushes, and more durable because of their man made material handles, which I can leave in a pot of thinners, if I don't finish a painting in one session, without them deteriorating. This "texture" set should prove useful for a number of effects.

A bit disappointed
I have already bought this make of brushes and found them good, however I used the mop brush from this set today and hairs were falling out onto my painting.

good value set
These brushes are good value, on the whole. Firm bristles, good for dry brushing and/or for laying on textures and layers. My only criticism is that the handles are quite short, but brushes with long handles are more expensive. I can't comment on how long they will last as I have had them for a short time; all in all, I like them and they don't cost much. I have bought other brushes in the Royal and Langnickel line and they have all performed well. Better brushes don't necessarily make you a better painter, but poor ones are a hindrance: these are not poor and you can buy confidently.

A mixed bag of great and hideous - not too bad a deal for the cost though.
It's a mixed bag - the mops brushes seem OK, soft and floppy (but not too floppy). But the fan brush is a hideous bristled thing - it will possibly be good for dashing out hard edged grasses and bushes, maybe as a scratch-tool for dragging wet watercolour paint up and around. It's not a nice thing. The "wizard" brush seems nice, not really tried it yet.The other two - they are average, not bad but nothing to wow about. It's not too bad though, you'll pay this price for the two decent mop brushes - the rest could be considered a bonus... perhaps...

bushy
larger than expected, but very nice. the middle brush is the size used for face powder. The fan has a lot of bristles, no good for me I like mine quite sparse. These type of brushes are much kinder to grip than plain ones. They are a bit bushy.

Perfect
The brushes themselves are of beautiful quality, not only in appearence but also in use. With all different verieties of thickness and shapes, these brushes should help you evolve your skills/technique. However the seller must be informed that these brushes are fairly thick, and from a personal experience, id buy an additional pack with smaller & thinner brush heads for that extra bit of detail. These brushes are really good quality, and the price I must say is just right. Be careful when using oil paints with these brushes however, i recommend buying an Oil Paint Dilutant and Brush Cleaner before using these brushes with oil paint.
