Bought this for a trip to Cozumel Mexico.I love this underwater metal detector. I was at first skeptical on the price and if it could perform the tasks of where I was going to be using it.*I did find a wedding ring and other objects*Pros: it’s easy to use right away with pointing it up to turn it on and waiting for it to notify you with a buzz and light indicator. Sweeps the ocean floor easy and it’s small enough to get in holes and tight spots. The depth of its range is actually pretty consistent being roughly 5-6”s and then some in sand. The light and buzzer work very well and you’ll have no problem knowing you found something. It will float up for the most part if you accidentally lose grip. The gasket seal for the battery works very well and easy to install. Very durable design.Cons: to start off its doesn’t have much flaws but these are just for representation of what I noticed.If you dig for an item underwater using both hands the detector floats up coil end up and automatically turns itself off which is inconvenient if you need to use it right away again. It also is powerful enough to interfere with my other pinpointer detector so I can’t run them at the same time in the same spot. The only on switch is you holding it in the up position so when traveling it may turn on and kill your battery. I would recommend taking the battery out when traveling.Overall: great purchase wish it was a little cheaper in price but it’s worth it in the long run

I purchased this metal detector at the end of the 2020 summer season. Using it as directed, I took it out to a local lake and it worked exactly as expected. As it was becoming too cold for open water swimming, I stored the metal detector as directed- removing the battery. Now, a year later, I took the detector out for this summer and it would not turn on. The light would blink 6 times and then it would not do anything. I tried new batteries and got the same results. I feel that I have wasted my money on a product that I was lead to believe would work for more than 1 use. Now that a year has passed I cannot get a return or refund, and I am out over $100 that I, as a student, cannot spare lightly. This is a wholly unreliable product. Do not be duped that a lower price will buy anything more than lower quality when it comes to this metal detector.

Works very well. Only down fall is u hold it up to turn in and off. And if you put the lanyard around your wrist snd let it go it floats upward and turns itself off. But definitely a great buy if in a budget.

I want to start by saying"I am not a professional or have I ever used a metal detector before". With that being said, this little detector worked great for me. Packaging was a little sketchy, just a plain cardboard box with no labeling. But once I got it out I was happy. Not a cheap plastic toy. Well constructed and durable. I know there has been some reviews about water getting to the battery, but if you put the battery in correctly it works great. Used it twice now and completely dry when I check after. While using it underwater there is a visible light on the detector that flashes. It also vibrates and makes a beep that I could hear underwater. It also beeps, flashes and vibrates different for different kinds of metals. Took it to the spring and found about $5 in change in about 30 minutes. Have to say it was a lot of fun. Worked great for me.

The only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is for 2 reasons. The first is the package states that a 9v battery is included. There was not a battery in my box. The second issue is the battery compartment cover. At first I had difficulty getting the cover to tighten to form a waterproof seal. I think a better design could be fine to achieve this.Now as far as the unit itself it seems to work as described. We have used this in about 3 ft of water testing it out and so far works with no problems. The led indicator light is bright and the vibration is strong when it detects an object.

Lost our wedding ring in a lake. Husband spent two days diving for it. This was the most sensitive underwater fully submergible detector on the market. It found everything from paper clips and fish hooks to other people's lost jewelry and glasses! Can't recommend more. Oh, and please people take it from me and leave expensive jewelry on land.....not worth it!

It was very easy to use But unfortunately if I would have dropped my necklace in the water I would have never found it with this,, I waved the detector over my gold necklace even sat it on top of it and it did not register at all,,,, But otherwise easy to use 😢

I used this product only 1 time at a max depth of 20 feet for 50 minutes. It worked great for that time but suddenly stopped working. I thought it used up the new 9V battery I installed. Following week I installed a new 9V and it would blink with a white LED light and not turn on. Absolutely no water got into the battery compartment, so this metal detector failed. I will try to return it for a refund. Very disappointed as I was orginally excited to dive with this.
