What does war do to people? The soldiers, the civilians, the children of the soldiers that will grow up in poverty, never having a chance to see their father? I'm really thankful to the author for being brave and writing something like this. It's one of those stories that you wish you hadn't known, but it's something we need to hear about, so history doesn't repeat itself. Masterfully written, though some parts were heart-wrenching....

This is one of those shocking, haunting and hauntingly beautiful stories that must be read. It’s important in its graphic reality. One of the hardest reads I’ve encountered but I can’t stop talking about it. This book is an experience about the invisible world of the dirt-poor sex worker as well as the perversion brought by Americanization and high buying power.Read at your own risk : )
