New favorite ink
Beautiful ink that at a glance looks black, but with a closer look is a dark gray and olive drab green. Most say it looks like used motor oil, which I don't disagree with. The ink is on the dryer side with almost no feathering (consistency is similar to x-feather), so it may not be the best choice for some pens. Other benefits are that it's one of the most water resistant inks I've ever tested, is permanent and fade resistant ("bulletproof"), and has neutral pH.

Neat color but not as lubricated as Eel base
I really like this color. As others have mentioned, it is like writing with used motor oil. As a retired Army soldier I have a soft spot for khaki and olive drab. I like El Lawrence better than Noodler's Army Green. It's darker than the green, is better lubricated and has better safety and archival properties.I use an ultra fine nib so the color isn't very obvious unless it's placed right next to a true black ink. My only complaint is with an ultra fine nip it's not as lubricated as Noodler's Eel or Polar. I'm not removing a star for this though since I think I'm in a minority to use such a fine nip and it works perfectly with a fine or medium nib. Also, if I use a higher quality paper it's perfectly lubricated even with the ultra fine nip.

Coolest bottle of ink I’ve bought in a long time.
Expensive ink but well worth it. Really interesting color (definitely has dirty oil notes as well as an earthy tone to it) and works well in my Pilot Metro fountain pen, dip pens, and brushes. Cool effects when diluted with water. I’m primarily using this for ink drawings and paintings. Packed really well in an appropriate sized box (looking at you, Amazon) and shipped quickly. The bottle is absolutely filled to the brim with ink so be careful opening the jar.

Thomas Edward Lawrence
This is a great ink. Named after Lawrence of Arabia. The color is greenish yellow/ brown. Supposed to be the color of Mr. Lawrence's uniform Khakish. The drying time is a bit long but adding a drop of water to your pen speeds up the drying time. Nathan Tardif is an American Patriot. I have almost all of the colors Doodlers makes. This is one of my favorites. Read up on Mr. Lawrence..........you will appreciate the ink even more. He was a remarkable man.

Used motor oil
This ink looks like you were writing using old engine oil. I think it's a nice distraction from ordinary black. It holds up well to water as well. Happy to have bought this. I think the color is more apparent with fiber nibs.

Dirty Motor Oil
Is indeed black with hints of green. Is like writing or drawing with dirty motor oil, and that is what I love about it. A go to ink for several art pieces, past and future. Love this stuff.
