As a health conscious fitness fanatic, protein takes high priority in my macros. The protein to calorie ratio on this stuff is unbelievably great for a pancake that tastes so darn good.I mostly eat one meal a day, usually at dinner time. Needless to say, I often miss breakfast and crave it occasionally. So I recently set out to find the best all around protein pancake mix. Not only is this mix the best tasting but it has the highest protein content per 100 calories of any that I could find.mixes I have tried in order of best to least favorite1 Bulk Cakes- 14g protein per 100 calories with amazing regular pancakes taste it’s gonna be hard to beat!2 King Arthur- I actually got the Keto version because their high protein actually didn’t have as good of a protein to calories ratio. Keto version has about 11.25g protein per 100 calories. Also a very good tasting pancake and very reasonably priced. It is worth a try.3 WonderSlim- 10g of protein per 100 calories. Very good taste but you get very little for the money and not a fan of the small serving pouches.4 FlapJacked- under 10g of protein per 100 calories. Decent flavor but just not what you would expect, not exactly pancakes like taste something is just a bit off.5 Met-Rx- despite being only 6.3g of protein per 100 calories I thought I would give it a try based on the reviews. I was really expecting outstanding flavor from it but was really let down. It almost has sort of a sweet vanilla type flavor. Not to my liking in the least. Since this really doesn’t even meet my requirements of 10g of protein per 100 calories and has such an undesirable flavor to me unfortunately this one is going to the waste bin.I may try more and will update as do but I think I’ve found exactly what I was looking for with Bulk Cakes!

A full serving size makes 8 'eggo' sized waffles. Pictured is a 1/2 batch of bulk cakes. I made it into an egg white breakfast sandy accompanied by 2 waffles.The macros are good, (their great if you exclude the real syrup). (Pictured is roughly 260k cals which includes the tsp of cheddar jack cheese, 2 grams of real butter & 1 Tbsp of real Vermont maple syrup. All In, 28.8grams protein, 31.7 grams carbs, 4.9grams fat. (Only 18g carbs w/o the syrup)These freeze well & can be re-heated in the toaster which makes for a quick satisfying breakfast. These cakes are easy to digest & they are satiating PLUS THEY TASTE REALLY GOOD. Could you make a mix similar to this for less $$? Yes but the time & effort of trial & error etc... is not worth the hassle. Bulk Cakes are convenient, simple just add water, stir & cook to make & a great way to put a good amount of protein into the body machine 1st thing in the morning.

You could call me a pancake fanatic. Rightfully so, as I am from the midwest and our love for pancakes and maple syrup is beyond recognition. Thus, I am quite particular on my pancakes. I found this recipe to add a bit of protein in my day [when I say bit, I wasn't thinking that it would be 42 grams per serving] but since I have gotten this mix: my life has changed for the better. It's so easy to make. It fills you up. It tastes delicious. It gives you fluffy cakes that just last forever. I don't feel like garbage after. On the contrary, I feel so happy inside.I will forever be using this recipe. All of my friends that have tried it always want the link. So, if you are hesitating... Don't. This is my first amazon review and let me tell you - it's worth the buy.

The odd thing about this waffle mix is it's very "vocal" when you are cooking it.. :) My daughter sent me the attached video, and said her waffle maker is too loud to use. So, then I had to try to figure out what was wrong with her waffle maker, and while I was doing that, I ALSO bought some of this high protein mix, since both daughters said it tasted great! So, after having a completely "silent" waffle making experience with my waffle maker (and a different mix) - I started using the new 42 Gram protein waffle mix, and even when I put in only 1/2 cup of batter (and didn't run it completely over the sides like my daughter did in her attached video) - even then this batter made buzzing / whistling noises near the end of it's cooking cycle. (just before the green light turned on.) And this had never happened before, so therefore - I'm SURE it's mix itself, and nothing to do with our waffle makers... It's very good tasting stuff though. (And I told my daughter - that if she puts even a SMIDGE more than 1/2 cup into her 6" waffle maker, it'll start to come out the sides like she experienced, and be much LOUDER while it's cooking...)

These protein pancakes have the best macros on the market and best tasting on the market. Can’t say enough good things other than thank you. For those of us dieting or cutting this is a treat to look forward to every single day. Great formulation!

I personally add just a little more water than the suggested amount because I don’t like my pancakes too thick. The pancakes come out fluffy and delicious. I add a little bit of cinnamon to the mix because I love cinnamon pancakes. These are great to help with my sweet tooth and not feel so guilty with the added protein. I find that the full serving amount is too much at a full cup, so I just use a half cup of pancake mix so as not to feel too full. Even at a half serving, that’s still 21g of protein and that’s fine with me.

This protein pancake mix is the BEST! It is hard for me to find really good products without whey protein. I’m so glad we found this mix!! The waffles and pancakes come out perfect every single time. I adjust the water to my liking just like I would with any pancake mix. They really fill you up and keep you full!
