DO NOT BUY: Worst Dive Computer I have every used
Even at 100% brightness it cannot be read anywhere near the surface on a bight sunny day.On a dive trip to Bonaire, I had to dust my dive short since I had no idea how much air or how deep I was. Finally tried again on a night dive, figuring I’d be able to see the gauge at night,I was able to see it.Then 3 hours after the dive, the computer is still on, at 100% brightness (since I set that) and still in dive mode. It’s reporting a 4 foot dive with 0 PSIThere doesn’t appear to be any way to convince it that I’m on the surface or force it to turn off.I will not be able to use this for the remainder of the dive trip.I will have to rent a computer, pressure gauge and depth gauge because this one broke, probably after the second dive.I tried rinsing in fresh water repeatedly, but it will not reset to surface mode.I used a Pro Plus 3 for years without any of these problems

Awesome Device
A solid piece of equipment, easy to read, easy to scroll through the options and set things up. Downloaded the recommended application to use with it and has been very simple to get set up. This is a replacement for a current dive computer, the technology has greatly improved.Just did a dive with the new Computer, it was super simple to use. Still getting used to what is where within the unit but not too hard to figure out. Since the compass is also integrated, I did notice that it needed to be calibrated, not sure if this was due to flying and being off for awhile but as with all your gear you need to check before entering the water. Once you are down to a certain depth the unit is engaged and doing it's job which does not allow you to make changes. Overall very impressed, was able to attach and detach the unit from the hose with ease. It is very easy to read and understand underwater. It is a pricey device but has been well worth the money spent.

but it works great. The interface is completely intuitive
This was a LOT of money for a dive computer, but it works great. The interface is completely intuitive. The display is large enough that my over fifty eyes can read it without magnification. The color display is good at helping you focus on the important data. The multiple profile selection is probably useful if you really care about matching someone else. Nitrox mode works great and is intuitive to setup. The only downside is the software. It was not straight forward to setup and seems pretty feature poor. Maybe it will get better.

Super simple to use
This computer is perfect! Super simple to use and set up. Larger readout for those who have trouble reading small digits. Color vs. B&W is cool.

do not buy from Dive Catalog (via Amazon)
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM DIVE CATALOG (via Amazon). The quick disconnect hose failed after 15 dives. I returned the hose (still under warranty) 4 months ago and they have not bothered to replace it. They don't reply to voice mail or email either. This is a great computer, easy to read, easy to program but DO NOT BUY FROM DIVE CATALOG!!! They are awful. They have no customer service. I can call Oceanic right now and replace the hose for $149.00 but Dive Catalog couldn't do the same. Shame on them.

Not sure about this model
Well it was great while it worked. I purchased in Sept 2017 did not use until Jan and Feb 2018 stopped working while on vacation after about 20 dives. It gave a too deep warning flashing red and did not stop until the battery ran out of juice. Then it heated up so bad that I feared it would explode or melt. Took the battery out. Now just waiting to get off vacation in April to send it in. Will update when I hear on that.

Almost great
I love the easy-to-read display. It is simple, and the digits are big enough to see easily. It's tough to read in bright light- to be expected for this technology. But at night, it is fantastic. I don;t care for the digital compass, but that's a personal preference. I did, however, have a lot of trouble with mine: I've returned two now. Oceanic (Huish) has been great about the returns, and they deserve credit for supporting the Oceanic line. The first failure was a known hardware issue with the early units. The second was a software glitch that bricked the unit. It happened again to the third unit, but I decided to open it up and remove the battery, which successfully reset it. I expect any dive computer to be rock-stable, whether it's a "smart" model or not, and especially one in this price category. This one hasn't answered the mail.I'm thoroughly disappointed in the "DiverLog" app that's used for dive logging. It's buggy, with an awkward user interface and terrible capabilities for syncing across your different devices. It just blows some dives completely, reporting dives as deco dives when they were not, and blowing the time axis on profile plots. Unfortunately, Pro Plus X users are pretty much stuck with it, since Oceanic apparently doesn't share the data protocols with other 3rd party developers. It's a shame that the various online reviews of this computer stopped short of testing the dive logging software, because that was a major feature of the Pro Plus X, and a big selling point for me. It's nice to have date, dive number, time, depth profiles, and air data transferred to an electronic log. If I would have known the state of the app, I would have looked more closely at other competing models or reevaluated how much I really wanted electronic logging.Bottom line- it's a nice piece of hardware that you'll enjoy using, especially if you like simple, well thought out displays. Stick with your paper logbook, though.
