very good degree of firmness for a semi-side sleeper
I did a lot of research before deciding to try this pillow. Let's be honest; a pillow is a very personal item, and what works for me might not work for you. I had thought I'd need a few nights to acclimate to a new pillow, but that didn't happen. I slept very well the very first night I tried it. I've been using it now for about 3 weeks, and find it to be a mostly positive experience.Pluses: very good degree of firmness for a semi-side sleeper. What do I mean by semi-side? I lean toward my stomach, so it's sort of a 3/4 side, 1/4 stomach if that makes any sense at all. My pillow moves with me all night -- every time I turn over, it moves to be in another position. It hasn't flattened out much at all, if any. It still well fills the pillowcase and seems to be just as supportive as it was. I like the gusset all around that squares it off; that style seems to work best for me.Minuses: the edges get a bit deformed. This is easily resolved with a flip or rotation and the deformed side goes back to its normal configuration. This is easy for me to deal with; I flip or rotate every morning when I make the bed and the pillow is ready for bedtime. While this deformation does occur with my husband's pillow (also this pillow), it is much less obvious. Thus, I feel the deformation of the foam is due more to my sleeping position than to any problems with the pillow. Then there's the heat issue. Our bedroom can get very warm during the night, even though I don't heat the space at all -- a problem of apartment living, I think. While the manufacturer touts that the springs will help with this problem, I don't find that to be the case. I've tried raising and lowering my head a few times, trying to get the "hot air out, cool air in" bellows effect to no avail. I think it's due to the foam that surrounds the springs. My solution is, again, just to flip or rotate the pillow to find a space where my body heat hasn't created a hot spot. That seems to work well enough that I can go back to sleep. So, while I really like this pillow, I can't say that I absolutely love it. Had I the option, I probably would have deducted about 1/4 star for each of the problems above instead of 1/2 star each.I will update this review should I discover new good or bad things about this pillow.4 months later: pillow is still very supportive. The positives and negatives I noted in February are still the same. I'm going to buy another, smaller version for car travel; I find I don't sleep well with hotel pillows anymore.

Working like a champ!
Oh my! A soft, plush pillow with springs for support . . . sounds odd, but guess what? It works! It's soft enough so you don't feel like you're sleeping on bricks, but supportive enough to provide for a great night's sleep. My husband has had numerous pillows, trying to find just the right one to keep his head slightly elevated while sleeping. He's a semi-side sleeper, tending to lean toward being a belly sleeper. This pillow is the first one that's worked in several attempts. We especially like the fact that the edges are squared off and not sloped to a point. It seems to give better support that way. I told him that there were 40 individual springs inside for support, but after feeling around for them, we can't feel them. Don't care, though, because the pillow WORKS! The pillow's cover is almost like a microfleece that would tend to be hot in the summer, but with cotton pillowcases (as you would with normal pillows), it stays nice and cool throughout the entire night. We've had the active spring bed pillow (standard size) for about a week now, and the snoring is decreased, the breathing is better and he's not bunching it up to keep his head elevated. I'd say that's a win-win for us! Good product. Highly recommended if you need a good night's sleep.I received this product at a reduced price for my fair and honest review. If it didn't work, I'd tell you about it. But it works! Try it.

sleeping great
I am a pillow fanatic and I am always searching for an excellent pillow for my needs. I discovered the Active Spring Bed pillow through a site i visit often. I've been sleeping on expensive down pillows for years. They were very lofty, but would go flat during the night. Down pillows made my shoulders sore. I needed something more firm, so with a little online search I found the Active Spring Bed pillow.. I really love that fact that the pillow is machine washable. This pillow is not a short-life-span product. The pillow was perfect for me. It is a firm pillow and it is very full and "lofty". If you purchase this pillow, make sure you put it in the dryer before you sleep on it. This will cause it to expand and fluff up the pillow. I am very satisfied!! Definitely worth buying another one.

speings back like its still unused every day!
The first night I fell in love! It is soft and it is also supportive of my neck! Not lumpy or clumpy, it feels light. It also springs right back up after being laid on all night long. I've had the pillow a whole week now and I'll be ordering my deployed husband one for when he gets home! He has a sore back most days and I'm almost completely certain this pillow will help him! it's certainly done my neck a world of good! It has not been left squished even after a whole week of use. It still pops back up like its new and unused! It was simple and fit in the correct size pillow case and is nice and white! Mine came to my house in perfect condition! I took it out of its pillow case to take a picture to show that it's still springing back likes its unused!

i love my new pillow!
I have been searching for the "perfect pillow" for a while now. I have tried a ton of them, and they were either too hard or too soft. Too thick or too thin... I couldn't seem to find one that was perfect. Some were better than others and not too bad, but not the perfect pillow I was looking for. This pillow is pretty close I think. It is soft but not too soft and it's thicker but not too thick. It is pretty comfortable and has become my favorite pillow. The springs in it makes it bounce back when you put pressure on it and you don't have to "fluff" it I will definitely be buying more of these! I really love my new pillow! Thank you!
