Good value, functional, large screen and k/b.
This is five stars relative to the money spent. My first Chromebook. I've owned probably 25 laptops and used to own a computer store in the 90s. No it's not the best screen, but it's good enough, as good as cheap laptops used to have 20 yrs ago. Battery seems to last a good amount of time. Keyboard is ok, speed is so so, sound is passable, it's very easy to use. A functional device for basic internet and other simple tasks. I have trouble with the tiny form factor of smartphones and virtual keyboards, so this larger 15.6" screen and keyboard is great. Probably I would pick a faster processor and more memory next time around. I can't fault anything, for the money. And it feels good to get out from under Microsoft's intrusive scam operating systems that eat up resources, track you and make you subscribe forever, and slow down your computer to a crawl, unless you spring for the best hardware. Ok, so Google tracks you too. Nice value here.

Lots for the $
Excellent for my needs! Needed to upgrade, just a little since the keyboard on my previous Chromebook was a bit sticky from the previous owner spilling something on it.This new Chromebook is perfect! Fast set-up using my phone. Everything transferred seamlessly so no hassle there. Great value. Full size keyboard with dedicated number pad. I added a mouse (plug & play) and will slip in a 128G SD card to expand memory for anything I want to store.I have a separate laptop that runs on Windows and I use it for all off line work - everything I need is already on it.This Acer is super easy to use and a dependable machine.

Overall, I'm happy.
Overall, I'm happy with my choice of the Acer Chromebook.Of course, I knew that at this price, the laptop would have to make some compromises...for example, the keyboard is not backlit. Also, I wish the speakers were a little louder...the sound is not bad, but could be a little louder. One thing I like is the matt screen ..it's easy on the eyes. All in all, my Acer can do what I need it to do, and I like the way it looks too:)I'm still learning to make the most of my Chromebook.

The screen is not Full HD (1920x1080) IPS panel, but a low quality LCD 1366x768 with weird colors
The screen is not Full HD (1920x1080), but a mere 1366x768 -- way off the specification. What makes things even worse, it's not IPS panel with wide angle, but a low-quality LCD screen that has FOV about 20 degrees, if I tilt my head -- the color seen by one eye does not match the color seen by another eye -- this leads to eyestrain and headaches after an hour. I'm returning this item and recommend to avoid crappy screens, and protect your eyes and your health.

Great homework machine for the kids.
The school stopped allowing the kids to take home their Chromebook's, so I bought this for homework. It works great. Happy I got the bigger monitor.
