Ehh
I mean its a boot and it fits.. but it covers the entire toggle switch? The 3/8 version does not. Not sure why they would do that, so i cut a hole in it to see the settingsโฆ boot looks cool tho

Good over all
I bought this protective booth for the nitro cat 1200k I bought them both at the same time. It does a nice job at keeping the gun clean but this boot doesnโt stay clean for that long, I think because itโs made out silicone it picks up a lot of dust. I am not sure if itโs safe if you drop the gun and I am not trying to find out if it is. To install I did used my heat gun to make it easier. It does cover the selector setting marks(who knows I might cut a slot if it starts to bother me). When it does get dirty I clean it with silicone spray. I would like if it was available in black and something that would go longer to the handle but over all itโs cheap insurance for your 1200k impact.

Heat it to soften
For those having difficulty pulling it over the gun, it took me about 10 minutes - 9 minutes of heating and 1 minute of pulling over the gun.I used a hair dryer set to high for heat and air. I did in sections. Heated the front section and pulled it over the nose, then heated the middle and rear section and pulled it over the rest of the body. I was going to do it in a low oven, but it seemed like a bigger PIA to do it that way - plus it's hard to gauge the pliability. With the hair dryer, I could only heat a section at a time, but I could feel how pliable it was at any given point. That being said, it's a tight fit once cooled and on - which is good. You don't want it slipping/sliding all over the gun, especially if you get a little grease/moisture/oil under there (which I would think would be impossible NOT to, given the environment in which something like this would be used. The reason for the 3 stars, though, is this - C'MON! BRIGHT RED WITH FLAMES? EVEN MY KID'S WATERGUN LOOKS MORE PROFESSIONAL THAN THAT!I was thinking of trying the Aircat 1150 because it has a better look, but when I compared the casing size, the 1150 is slightly smaller - slightly (lenghtwise). Some of the difference was the fact that the very front nose of the case (surrounding the head of the anvil) is a little longer (because of the seal required in a pin clutch system), but part of the difference is the actual casing itself as well. So I didn't want to chance that it may be a little TOO small - plus I'm not worried about what "the other guys" would think because this is for home use - only I would see it (though my wife did say "what's up with the flames?" when I opened the box).

To install, heat in microwave 45 seconds then pull on
After having this for 2 1/2 years, I finally tried the microwave trick to heat it before the install. 45 seconds in microwave then it went on snugly. Cooled to be form fit.For 2.5 years I have looked at this Nitrocat 1200K cover, wondering how it was supposed to ever be applied to the impact gun. When looking at the 1200K cover and the 1200K gun, they are not the same shape. The key is to heat up the cover, then it installs very snugly. I used a microwave to heat it for 45 seconds as mentioned in other reviews here, but others have stated using warm water. I imagine warm water is a safer bet, but 45 seconds warmed it enough to be pliable, yet not enough to melt the cover or cause it to tear.

Super tough, priced right!!
I bought this in conjunction with my Nitrocat 1200 and it fits well. I like the color but really appreciate the durability it adds to my airgun. I have dragged the Nitrocat across the floor, through snow, over the hill and through the woods (not really but you get the point) and this boot has done a fantastic job of protecting the Nitrocat. This is a super price for something that works very well. Thank you.

I love this impact and use it every day at work
I bought the nitrocat 1200k. I love this impact and use it every day at work. I am a diesel technician at ford so my tools tend to get covered In Oil and grease daily and while I try to take care of them, working in a shop my tools get tossed around and banged up so I bought this boot and it protects it from scratches, scrapes, and anything else that might happen to it. When I take the boot off to clean my impact it still looks brand new. I am very satisfied with this and highly recommend it to anyone that uses a nitrocat. I wish there were different styles and colors because I am not a huge fan of the foams, but it works and protects it like it should. 5 stars.

Good buy atleat protects your gun
Cover has a nice fit, but after putting cover on you won't be able to see the tighten positions, and cover has a rough finish on top so it gets dirty right away.

Good purchase.
Fits perfectly on my 1200, no complaints. It's thick enough to protect my gun from seeting it on the ground or a rough surface, but won't protect it from drops. Good product, fair price.
