A great gimbal at any price, a steal at how affordable it is
The FeiyuTech SCORP-C is a very impressive gimbal. In doing a review like this it is typical to want to qualify nearly every statement with āas an affordable optionā. To be clear, it IS very affordableā¦almost absurdly soā¦. But many of its features and benefits are impressive at any price point, so the fact it is affordable is a huge bonus, not a disclaimer.Build quality is solid. The inclusion of built in multi position locks on each axis make balancing it a simple procedure. One aided greatly by the training videos available including in their app. The addition of āmarkerā slides, (positionable indicators on each axis) makes re balancing after storage or travel a snap. Even without them, the balancing procedure is easy, well explained, intuitive and quick. Not enough can be said about just how useful separate locks on each axis are. Gone are the days of pinched fingers while attempting balance or transport. These locks have positions both for isolating the axis while balancing as well as for safe storage. The thoughtful attention to detail like that and the position sliders are evident throughout the product. While it comes with a solid mini tripod, used in balancing and useful as an extended grip, it is not needed if you are looking to operate in the most compact mode possible. Other similarly shaped gimbals will work the same but with a huge problemā¦how to safely rest or put put your rig on a flat surface. Here, again, they came up with a simple but intuitive solutionā¦two legs deploy from the rear making the gimbal itself itās own tripod for when you donāt have the extended handle tripod attached. The controls have a great feel, and while I wouldāve liked a bit more resistance on the thumb joystick, it is not loose or floppy. The large wheel is a pleasure, great feel and capable of very precise control. Here again they have truly provide a great experience to the end user. Gimbals have become increasing more complex with wanted features like āselfie modeā and āDutch axis rollā for those great spin shots. FeiyuTech delivers all of these features and more. However one thing that I find frustrating with many products is the limited number of physical buttons, knobs, and controls. This requires memorizing almost absurd āMorse code likeā sequences of ā4 quick hits: to toggle into this mode and ālong squeeze then short hitā to engage this feature. The scorp-c has some of that, but significantly less than similar gimbals Iāve used. Furthermore they give far more buttons that can be used as dedicated feature triggers to greatly reduce the number of ācode pressesā you need to memorize. Many of those buttons can also be customized in the app, truly letting you configure the gimbal for your shooting style. A final note, when the āsecret codeā method is needed they do well by including led indicators to help quickly clarify the mode youāre in and what you toggled to.Speaking of the app, it too was quite impressive. Many times smaller manufacturers roll out great products whose app feels like an afterthought. Not the case here. The UI was straight forward. The video links useful and informative. And the level of control impressive. I particularly enjoyed being able to dial in the sensitivity on the controls to exactly what worked for me. Also fun, and surprisingly useful was the āgyro modeā wherein the gimbal becomes a pan/ tilt head controllable not just by an onscreen controller (though that works as well) but by the position of your cell phone, allowing for very controllable pans and tilts.Of final note, I compliment FeiyuTech on including all needed cables. Too often nowadays, even on expensive products, you have additional cost of purchasing the specific adapter cable to control your camera. Here the company errs on your side providing all the different cables for each of the manufacturers they support. The versatility and savings afforded here is significant, as I can go from flying a Panasonic one day to a Sony the next without concern of if I purchased the correct adapterOverall I was very impressed with the product. It would be a solid purchase in general, but at its extremely affordable price point itās an absolute steal! Definitely recommend it.

Very solid gimbal with pro features
We've been looking for a good gimbal for our Sony Alpha a7 DSLR and were looking at the Ronin because it is the industry standard in terms of mid range gimbals. A friend and fellow photographer recommended we look at the Scorp-C and I was a little hesitant at first because it's an off brand but I've got to say after using it for a couple of weeks I'm pleasantly surprised at how solid this thing is with very robust features and app control. It took about 15 minutes to get my camera mounted and calibrated but with the help of a youtube video it wasn't difficult at all. The included instructions are helpful but finding a video on youtube is the way to go in my opinion. The Scorp-C comes with tons of useful accessories and the battery life has been exceptional. The stabilization is just as solid as the Ronin for a much more affordable price. Definitely will be recommending this to other photographer friends.

Solid and reliable gimbal for the price great for content creators and solo shooters
Iāve been using the FeiyuTech SCORP-C with my Sony A7 and A6400, and itās proven to be a reliable tool for my video work. Whether Iām shooting handheld B-roll, talking head content, or event footage, the stabilization is smooth and consistent, especially for a gimbal in this price range. The 3-axis stabilization works well even when walking or moving quickly between shots. It does take a bit of time to get used to balancing your camera properly, but once itās dialed in, it holds steady and performs like it should. It handles cameras up to 2.5 kg (around 5.5 lbs), and Iāve had no issues with lenses of moderate weight.Build quality is solid ā it doesnāt feel cheap or flimsy, and the grip is comfortable for longer shooting sessions. The design makes it easier to get low-angle shots without needing an additional handle or arm extension. Itās light enough to travel with, but still feels professional in use.The controls are intuitive and responsive. Button layout makes sense, and I can easily switch between modes or re-center the gimbal without looking down or fumbling. The battery lasts through several hours of shooting, depending on your setup, and charges via USB-C, which is super convenient. It also supports Bluetooth connection and app integration, though I mostly use it manually. Setup was straightforward, and it plays nicely with many popular mirrorless and DSLR models from Sony, Canon, Nikon, and others. What really stands out is how usable and capable it is for creators who donāt want to drop $500+ on a stabilizer. If youāre producing YouTube content, weddings, social media clips, or even short films ā and you need a tool that wonāt fight you or break your budget ā this gimbal delivers where it matters.
