The presentation of oyster varieties, origins, and taste is helpful and informative. The list of mignonette and other toppings provides choices with which to experiment. We have tried several of the hot oyster, stew and soup recipes and look forward to several others. A nice assortment!

This book is a fun read, with interesting stories and a great overview of the history of oysters, plus tasting and buying points on the current varietals. There are a lot of great recipes as well. Highly recommended.

I love oysters. This has some great recipes. I suggest you try BBQing them if you have never had them. We had them at the Hog farm in CA and we were hooked. Easy to do. The book is well designed and laid out with great photos. A good coffee table book that most folks pick up to peruse.
