Although this product shipped on the SLOW boat from China (literally), it arrived and fits perfectly with the Shimano Altus rear derailleur. The derailleur is able to complete a full throw through the entire range of gears without contacting the cage. For the price I was skeptical, but now that the part is installed I am impressed by the fit and construction of it. Time will tell if the function lives up to my expectations, but I hope never to find out because it means my derailleur has taken a hit!Summary: Favorably impressed at the component quality and fit on the bike.

This is a very cheap way to save an expensive item on your bike. If you catch your derailleur on something, it will cost a lot more than this little protective bar...

Great Price. Universal fit. I thought I needed a mounting screw or something. Nope. Just removed the tire bolt and slipped this over. It's perfect for me. I ride daily. Sometimes park it in odd places and the rear, gear systems gets bumped alot. I'ts a keeper. I would buy 1 for each bike.
