A good saw, but seems a little dull from what I've come to expect from other japanese pull saws
If you use pull saws you already know how nice the design is, so I will not talk of that.I have used these, and other brands for many years, and the only complaint I ever have is I wish they were cheaper and available in more brick and mortar stores. For the past year I have been using the cheaper Irwin pull saws found at most stores, they work, but I remembered how much better the real Japanese saws were from when I used them professionally. I decided to buy the real thing again, and am happy...however it could be a fluke, it could be my imagination, but the saw I received is not quite as sharp as I remember them being...its sharp, and works well, but I really feel the ones I used to use were even sharper. The particular one I received is probably no sharper than the Irwin model I bought at the big box store. Is Irwin making better blades now than they did 5-10 yrs ago or is Gyokucho making worse blades now? Is it just my saw? I don't know. Its still a good saw, its just not as good as the ones I used years ago (I used many over the years)
