Perfect Replacement for a Hayward SP1070-K Skimmer Door
Ordered this product after researching several options for my broken Hayward SP1070-K skimmer door/flap. This was a PERFECT fit and very easy to install. The thing to remember is that when installing this new assembly is that the flat piece needs to slide into a vertical slot and push all the way down. Once in position, simply insert and tighten the screw and your all set. Perfect replacement!!

Just like the old skimmer flap.
When I first looked at the replacement I was worried that it was going to be hard to get it on. But I got in the pool and looked at the outline bracket that is built into the pool sides at the skimmer and saw how it fit on. Was able to get it on then with in a few minutes. Have not had any problems with it.

Fits, but hinge plate needs file
Good value, but like others the flapper would not move freely until some excess plastic was filed where the flapper meets the hinge. So far so good after making that adjustment. Otherwise a perfect fit like my old door.

Perfect replacement for the original
Our pool is just over 5 years, and parts have started to break. This gate broke and I bought a replacement. This is the exact gate that was originally installed, and I was able to unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. Total replacement time was about 5 minutes. Perfect replacement.
