I have read from many that assembly was easy. For me, it was a bit of a pain. There are no words in the instructions - only pictures. The pictures are not always clear. For example, when I started tp assemble the layers at the bottom, I was doing it with 5 pieces and later found out it was supposed to be 6 per layer. It was also challenging at times to see where the screws went for a couple of pieces.In the end, I had to add a couple of my own support pieces to stabilize it. Needless to say, it is done, and I like it. The instructions are pretty bad, though!

First off, this is an excellent product and I recommend it. THAT SAID,1. These appear to be 'gray market' items. You will find the exact same wishing well from a number of vendors and if you look carefully you might find one a bit cheaper. Be careful though, there are a couple that look similar but are much cheaper.2. You definitely DO want to wipe off the excess stain. My hands were dark brown by the time I was done assembly (comes off easy with a little Palmolive though).3. I actually found mine to be very sturdy and had no problem moving it after construction. I just carried it by the cross beam as it is only 20 lbs. My variant (as there are slight differences) had the vertical beams as one piece so ymmv.4. I wish they had a taller option. My goal was to cover a well pump but the sides are only 12" tall and the well pump is 18". That's on me for not thinking to measure first. I'm hoping I can persuade them to sell me some extra pieces.5. Assembly is very simple but the instructions are somewhat poor. Look carefully so you don't flip a piece 180. There are videos online, search 'assemble wishing well planter' and you'll find them on YouTube. There may be slight differences but the overall is the same.

I thought it was relatively easy to put together. 8 single pieces make the base, not 7. That confused me at first because the instructions weren’t specific so I had to disassemble the base and rebuild. I did an all weather protection stain as others recommended so I suggest the same. Took like 3 hours in total including the all weather protection. Easy to assemble solo.

There were no predrilled holes to attach legs. Wood glue would provide enhanced sturdiness. Recommend that you coat with water sealer.

Alright so to start, the assembly wasn’t horrible. My husband and I did this together and it took about half hour. I suggest you get yourself a good rubber hammer to knock them into place fully because a few did not fit easily. We also used 8 extra 2inch (but honestly you’d be better off with 3 inch) screws for extra hold since it gets super windy around here. If you do not use extra screws to secure it, you only have the 2 side bars holding the 4 bottom layers together. So be mindful of that. Otherwise, I love it. The stain is nice but does get on your hands a little during assembly. Also not a big deal there. Please excuse the crookedness in my pic, I am using it to hide an ugly tree stump and that’s why it’s a bit crooked. Otherwise it does sit flat with an empty bottom. The hanging pot also has a watering hole which is nice. Overall- love the final product and I didn’t have to spend a lot of money or time to get it. And I always like that :)

Im so happy we bought this! I was on the fence about what I wanted to do with the front law, I went with a farm theme and this fits so well! People have stopped and asked if its bronze- the wood looks so great that it almost looks metal on the top a bit. Its cery cool & unique.

This was very difficult to put together, the wood was not cut to fit. I had to “try” every piece to find the one cut that would fit. It was a filthy mess putting together and my hands and clothes got black every place that came in contact with anything. Based on the difficulty of fitting it all together I’d not buy it again. There were NO written instructions - just pictures.

It is a cute wishing well. Easy to put together, the bottom link together and the 2 tall pieces are screwed to the side walls to secure the well. I would recommend assembling the wishing wel outside or lay a tarp down if you do not on the house, some stain does get on your hands while handing the pieces. Also, it does not have a bottom, which again is normal... you won’t have to worry about the bottom rotting. We filled it stones and set a planter on top of them.My mother loves the well and added her touches to it. It was priced right for a gift!!

Like the designe, dislike the size of pot for flowers ( too small). Very thin wood on roof. Very weak structure. Very overpriced for product

Wood is stained but not sealed, apply a coat of sealer to protect. Wood is very light weight needs to be attached to ground in windy areas. Sturdy and decorative when assembled.
