Excellent camera, extraordinary customer service.
I am building two airplanes, both tail draggers, thus forward visibility is compromised while taxiing. I read where another builder had used it and was extremely satisfied. I bought two of these cameras. One had apparently been returned as the plug had been cut off. This is where the five stars come in. I contacted the company and they sent me another camera immediately. Then followed up to ensure I was satisfied. The camera is very good for my purpose and the customer service is extraordinary. I would think it would be exceptional used as a backup camera on a car/truck. Lots of cable and easy to install. The camera is well worth the money and the customer service makes it a HUGE bargain.

Smaller Than it Looks, Easy Install
My first impression of this camera was surprise at the actual size. It is quite small. I paired this camera with an Alpine iLX-507 head unit in a new install. I chose this camera because I wanted the option of a behind-the-license-plate-frame installation. Even with a license plate frame there was plenty of room for the camera to be installed.I also was intrigued by the AHD capability of this camera and the potential for 720p video. I could not find any technical information on my head unit whether or not it supports AHD. After trying AHD, the iLX-507 does not support AHD. However, I'm happy with the video quality at the default 480 video. The install was super easy, and made easier by the option to supply power to the camera either at the camera end- or at the head unit end. I chose to power the camera at the head unit end thereby avoiding the hassle of cutting into and splicing the backup light wires to power the camera. The ground must be done at the camera end, but that is easily done without cutting wires. The Alpine head unit I'm using is able to add its own guidelines on the video image, however I found the guidelines projected by the camera itself were a much better representation of where to direct the vehicle. The camera guidelines are at the lower portion of the video while the head unit lines were in the middle. I ended up turning off the head unit guidelines. Finally, I was pleased to find the camera comes with a number of installation aids such as a plastic interior panel removal tool, electrical tape, screwdriver, etc.

First one didn't have video, second one works fine.
The first camera I got wired up and the video was just grey static on CVBS line in when I tested it and on my reverse camera while it triggered the screen when I went into reverse it was black on that input. I got a replacement next day so kudos on the seller for fast turn around on these. Super fast shipping each time. The second gave clear video but for some reason it wouldn't switch when I put my wife's car in reverse, but it would power on and show up on CVBS on the auxiliary input on the android head unit. Not sure if it was because of the unit or the camera, but we can go to the auxiliary input to back up if we want to use the camera. So it's just an optional feature. Which for me is fine for a 2008 Civic to be mindful of when you need the camera instead of just having it turn on the screen every time the car is in reverse.I personally don't like using backup cams, but my wife is still new to driving so I upgraded her "learning" car with a google maps gps and backup camera. Wiring wasn't too bad though because of the first dead camera and troubleshooting the video it did take a few hours. Plus Honda was super stingy with the electrical wire for the brake light so that was fun. But I got everything run and tucked away and the camera mounted with the license plate and had plenty of cable leftover, like at least another 6+ feet if I needed more to run, but I tucked it all behind the trunk upholstery where I wired it into the left brake light. Nice and neat install without any worry of not having enough wire. For $40 it is a pretty decent camera that comes with the tools for the upholstery and electrical tape for wiring it. So definitely a worth while purchase.

Amazing picture. Great for both rear and front!
This HD backup camera works really well with the ATOTO S8 Gen2 stereo and gives a great HD picture. The camera is tiny and it comes with a solid stainless steel bracket that goes behind the license plate. It also works if you have a license plate frame. The extension wire is really long, so when you've got it in and working, you may need to cable tie things up for the excess.Picture comes on really quickly. I have it hooked up to turn on when the car is in reverse. Fortunately the stereo harness I used already had a cable for power and reverse on signal, so I didn't need to wire it to the rear light in anyway for that. You can also (using this stereo at least) go to a menu item and just turn it on.Also i mounted the other one same model NATIKA HD front view camera on my front grill (on top of the Toyota logo) and is perfect!can see all my stuff that I put on my front hitch. Is awesome and it was easy to install, I didn't have to use the red power wire at the extension wire side, just connect the black wire to a nut as GND source , and at the radio unit i just use the red trigger wire as power pole + to stereo and yellow male RCA connector to the female of harness from stereo , awesome, love this camera as front camera , and the other one WD-779 backup camera I set it on the rear and loving it so far.

Clear camera, not a straightforward install
I installed this BU camera with a new Dual head unit. The instructions that come in the box are terrible and not the best way to wire up this camera. That said, the picture quality is very good with a nice wide field of view. The built in back up lines are pretty thick and don't move when you turn the wheel. You can cut one of the wire loops if you want to turn off the lines.
