Bergen rapidly stood out of the NorStone range as the favorite furniture of audio addicts. Bergen 2 now perfects this very efficient concept. Rigidity has been increased by the way shelves are fastened between the different feet parts. Each level, including the lower one, has its own spikes and counterspikes system. Thus this piece of furniture becomes a valued ally against vibrations. Bergen 2, with its 4 shelves, is ideal for top of the range Hi-Fi systems. Its top level has the perfect height for a turntable device. You’ll appreciate the shelves alignment with Bergen AV 2 ones. Both will give birth to a very nice combination.

Decent hi-fi rack.
Once assembled and everything lined up, spikes in cups and what have you, it's OK, looks reasonably attractive, supports equipment adequately well. Sitting on a solid floor, it's quite immune to footfall, but I can see it would be a pain on, for example, floorboards - it does wobble a bit if bumped.And if you're a turntable owner, you do have to be a little creative about leveling the top shelf - I have used washers between the spikes and uprights, and a handful of shims under the feet of my Rega. Not ideal, but it works.The better half tells me the glass shelves are "dust magnets" ......... ho-hum!On the whole, does the job at a reasonable price.Addendum August 2020:Had to take it apart and store it to decorate the room. On reassembly, the threads in around half the metal caps stripped out, with remarkably little force. Had to repair it, using M8 stud and Nylon standoffs between the uprights - this has made it into a more rigid structure, and it's so much better for it.

Quality hifi rack at a great price.
Just purchased this for a new hifi system having looked at the Atacama stands as well as other makes. Having read the reviews of this on other sites I was surprised to see some negative comments on Amazon from someone who doesn't actually own this stand. I am not sure what they were reviewing or who had put it together, but their opinion of the stability of this stand is the complete opposite of my experience. Assembly is pretty simple - leave legs loose until positioned in the spike 'cups' of the shelf below and then tighten. Stability is absolutely fine when everything is tightened correctly. It looks good but best of all it has improved the sound from my set-up. I also have the amp and CD on bamboo boards which fit perfectly and add further to the sound quality. The price is also much less than the Atacama stands of similar style and leaves more money to spend on vinyl! I also have a Norstone Khalm TV cabinet which is excellent.

Great Value
Take your time putting it together as the shelves are individually isolated giving clearer sound quality. It does seem a bit strange stacking each shelf on top, but so long as you get the spikes seated correctly, it's a great unit.

Easy to put together the weight of the shelves holds all together however it will it come apart if you lean on the top shelf with your arm without any equipment on itNot easy to move with record deck and amplifier on but i like it and it looks good and well made.
