Got this pump to fill my transmission after replacing the 'lifetime' fluid that it was supposedly filled with. Have now used it to replace the oil in my differentials and transfer case. This little pump makes what can be a messy job, in confined spaces, so much easier. One end in the bottle, the other in whatever you're filling, 3 or 4 pumps to drain a quart size jug. Much prefer this method to the nozzle and hose style pumps, or the garden sprayer type.

I use this pump to remove a water-based solution from a small tank into a bucket for disposal. Due to the low height of the tank in relation to the bucket, I cannot use the siphon method. Still, as a hand pump it works fine. I used to scoop out the water by hand so this pump has cut down my time for this task by about 50%.My one issue is with the supplied hoses. Both hoses have a small pinch near where they connect to the pump which has caused some flow issues. Also, the hoses retain their loop which can be a pain if you really need to keep them straight. I've tried bending them against the loop to try and straighten them out, but I haven't had much success yet.EDIT: After using the product for about a couple of months, it was no longer able to hold a seal so any attempt at pumping was irrelevant. It was literally faster to scoop water manually. Furthermore, the fluid I use somehow ate through the plastic and it's not even that acidic. I had to throw it in the trash. If you purchase this product, make sure to clean and dry it thoroughly after each use or you'll just be tossing it out like I did.

I purchased this product to aid in a transmission fluid change on a vehicle I own. For the money it appeared to be the best of the worst of the products I reviewed that transferred fluids. It can move a considerable amount of fluid but regardless of what position it was held in the discharge side leaked fluid, a product of the way the lines connect to the pump. I would not recommend for any "heavier"fluids. Satisfactory for the very limited use I purchased it for.

I purchased the pump to transfer rain water from a barrel to an indoor plant watering can. The barrel has a filter that allows fine dirt particles to get through.After several uses, the performance of the pumping action decreased and started sputtering. This continued to get worse. Refer to video.Taking the pump apart, I discovered the plastic pump cylinder was scored from the fine particles. This has hindered the seal of the plungers and hence the pumping performance. Refer to the image.The pump will work, and consideration should be given to the value of paying for a plastic product. However, the fluid needs to be very clean for the pump to perform as advertised. It is reasonable to expect the manufacturer is aware of this limitation, but they've chosen not to disclose the shortcoming to the consumer.
