Electronic Rainbow FMST-100 FM Stereo Transmitter Kit

The item that arrived is for the FMST-100D FM Stereo transmitter. That extra "D" after the 100 indicates that it is a different model than the one described and pictured in the Amazon listing. The Electronic Rainbow part number for the FMST-100 kit is 151239. This PCB was printed with the part number 168178.The kit I received arrived with incorrect electronic components. The parts weren't loose, they were all tapes to cardboard strips or secured in foam like all the other electronic kits I've completed so while working through the directions I figured substitutions must have been made by the manufacturer. Of the parts that were "substituted" there should have been five 10 uF capacitors (marked 10 uF). Instead there were five 4.7uF capacitors. All the the trim pots the kit is supposed to come with are meant to be vertical mounts, but instead the packing came with three horizontal mount trim pots. The 50 K Ohm trim pot was at least the correct resistance value, but the other two trim pots are unmarked so until I can get a hold of a multimeter I can't test the resistance values.

Works great. Wish the Bluetooth had better range

Easy to build.Some drift, though not as bad as I would have thought. Stereo separation is good. Transmitting distance, however is not sufficient. Usable reach is about 30-40 ft., not 150 or more. This is "in the clear" distance using 3 different recievers and a transmitting antenna of 3ft vertical wire.If you don't need more "reach" than that, this will be OK; otherwise look elsewhere.
