Why anyone would spend big money for the likes of the decidedly inferior MSOffice is completely beyond me. As Barnum (or was it Joe Bessimer?) put it, "There's one born every minute."

This is the most complete and thorough guide to Writer I have seen so far. If what you're looking for isn't here, then it probably isn't anywhere.Writer is a superb word processor, and it's free, open source and multi-platform.
