Q: Using your Interface and the "Access Control" software, is there a way that i would be able to manage a pin number with a person in the software?

It operates in either stand-alone mode without any software, or as a 'dumb' input device for a dedicated access controller. When hooked up to an access controller, there are only 6 active wires: 12v power, ground, D0, D1, and the two 'bell' wires. Once hooked up to the controller, you manage the controller with windows (in almost every case) desktop software. There, you enable keypad input, and enable Password/PIN management, and once that is done, you have control over ID and PIN entries. In the cases I've seen, the typical key sequence is *cardnumber*pin#, and I've tried 6 digits for card and 4 digits for pin and it works fine. I think the reason that it is card + pin is so that if someone takes a picture of someones ID card, they won't be able to access with that alone. The software logs the failed attempts with their card# and says "Wrong PASSWORD" but it does not show the pin that was attempted. A funny quirk, there is no alarm trigger for multiple failed PIN attempts for a particular card#, while there is a trigger for multiple access denied attempts (person has no authority to access) with a physical card swipe. This means you should scan the logs from time to time to see if someone is trying game your system.

Q: How can i program keyfobs with 8 digit number? unit will only "read" the tag. useless if tag is lost and i need to delete by number only.

The programming manual should explain that the users are entered in by number (each user is assigned a "slot"). In each slot you can assign the rfid card and PIN. Later you can just disable that one slot.

Q: The upphote access controll pannel only accepts buffered 26 bit wigand. How can I get the keypad to output in this format ?

you just wired this keypad as slave reader, it will output wiegand 26 bit automatic. thank.
