Ingenious design, it’s very simple but very accurate and a great way to quickly prototype a circuit. Just observe the 1 watt power limit so as not to burn it out!

it doesn’t work how do i get a new one

I used it to verify if a voltage regulator was working on an older vehicle. I was quickly able to dial in the resistance to prove the alternator was good and the voltage regulator was bad....now up and running with new voltage regulator

If you have any guage that uses ohms this will test it. This jeep had sat for 15 years exposed to the elements 15 miles from the coast. This allowed me to test the guages first ,ruling out any unnecessary expense.Price was excellent

I purchased the resistor decade box because I need it for some electronic test work. In fact, I bought two of these at the same time. My first impressions are both good and bad.The "Good":On arrival, I measured one of them for accuracy and found it meets my needs. The accuracy seems to be with 2% of the selected values and that's close enough for the work I am doing. The knobs are large enough to handle easily and the switches turn from step to step with a "solid" feel that does not require too much torque to move the switch. At first, glance, I think the placement of the various decade knobs are a bit strange, but they are labeled well, so I see no real problem with them. (As I look at the placement, it does make it relatively easy to "read" the value settings if one reads the knobs in a clockwise manner from the bottom left.)The "Bad":There are two faults I see with this resistor decade box. Neither of which are big "showstoppers" for me.1. The binding posts appear to be "standard" posts that would accept a banana plug but this is not the case. They require a spade-type connector that is compressed to make good contact when the binding post tightened. (If I decide it's needed, I believe I can open the box and replace the binding posts with ones that will accept banana plugs.)2. The user manual is completely written in the Chinese language. There are no English language pages. As it looks like this manual is printed on two A4 size sheets of paper, the cost to provide an English translation along with the Chinese language text would be a minimal added cost that would provide significantly increased customer satisfaction.
