RC Flight Log Deluxe Edition Logbook for Remote Control Airplane Helicopter Quadcopter Drone

What an outstanding product! I'm working on getting back into RC after several years' absence, & this logbook is a great way to keep track of my flying. This log is just the right size, well organized and easy to use. I really like the Maintenance section in the back. This would make a great stocking stuffer for any RC pilot!

Good book for basic documentation.

As a new Part 107 drone pilot I wasn't too keen on keeping a flight log. However, I have already been confronted by law enforcement and even Homeland Security (I was near a stadium before a game and before the temporary restriction went into effect). I have never yet had to refer back to my logs, but should a law enforcement officer turn in a report to the FAA, I have the peace of mind that I will have my own documents to correspond with the remote ID info that they will probably already have on my flight.The info columns are all large enough for my notes. I do add the time of day in the Date column.

I just received this logbook and haven’t yet recorded any flight or other information in it, so this review is based on my initial inspection and impressions.The logbook is 8.5 inches wide and 5.5 inches high. The front and back covers are made from a soft vinyl that is very flexible. The sheets are about the weight of copier paper, maybe a little heavier. The sheets and covers are bound together with a wire coil. It is more or less the kind of document binding you get at your local copy shop for reports and manuals. My judgment, based on years of experience with similarly bound documents, is that the book will not be particularly durable. I have already had a problem with the ends of the wire coil slipping out of the holes in the top and bottom of the binding–a problem I find annoying to deal with.As advertised, the logbook contains four sections. Each sheet of paper has printing on both sides (two pages per sheet), and except as noted each page has 15 lines for entries.The FLIGHT LOG section is 20 sheets long. The first page has 12 lines, all others have 15, for a total of almost 1,200 possible single-line entries.The MAINTENANCE LOG section is 15 sheets long with space for 450 single-line entries.The AIRCRAFT INDEX section is 4 sheets long with space for 120 single-line entries.The BATTERY INDEX section is also 4 sheets long with space for 120 single-line entries.The images of the logbook don’t show this, but the RC Flight Log emblem is printed in the top left corner of every page. I don’t see any purpose for this repetitiveness.This is the first time I've purchased an actual logbook for RC flying, so I don’t know how I would end up recording my activities. My intention is to record all the information that I think could prove to be useful at a later time. That said I imagine that I would require multiple lines to record information for each flight. I could even use an entire page to record info from a day of flying. With 40 pages available in the FLIGHT LOG section, I could use an entire page for each day of flying and the logbook would last me at least a year.I think the logbook would be much improved with a hard cover and bookbinding. As is, I think it’s overpriced at $20. Now, after writing this review, I've decided to toss the logbook and just use a BLUELINE A7 Executive Journal (available on Amazon at half the price) to log my flights, maintenance, batteries and so on. I don’t really need labeled columns; just a good binding and lines on a page.

Very well thought out for design. Very study book and easy to record in. I would purchase this again.

Product is nice and will do what I need. It was shipped promptly and arrived on time. I feel the cost is too much for what it is. That os why I am not giving 5 stars.
