Plenty of trees for cheap, but the flocking is crumbly. Handle with care
I bought these to spruce up my D&D table. My wife works in a store that sells some wooden 'wheels' with a little hole in the middle. I cut off about half the end piece that you'd normally stick down in Styrofoam for a train table, added a dollop of hot glue, and put the half-stem down in the hole. The hot glue dried and they are sturdy. Now, I just need to add some flocking to the base to make it look grassy and I'm good. They are about 3.5"-4" tall with the base. The flocking, or whatever the proper term is, that makes up the leaves is fragile. Other reviews spoke to it, but I often wonder if people are simply being heavy handed with them, so I was especially mindful when I handled them. what was left over in the bag was disappointing and there are definite bald spots on the tree in some places. It's not terrible enough for me to dock more than 1 star, but it IS a potential issue. My rating my change as I handle them and they begin to lose more and more green. I'm curious if spray adhesive might help keep it all together, but I'm not too interested in going out, spending the money on it, only to have it fail.As it is, I have a substitute for my battle mat instead of drawing trees. If I can come up with an alternative in the future, these will see less use, but for $12, It's hard to beat 20 trees.

Very cheap looking, lots of bare spots showing, unrealistic looking plastic.
I wasn't expecting much for the price but was expecting a bit more that what I got.I ordered this set for a model railroad layout I am building for my kids, and needed some greenery to help liven it up. Looking at the pictures online these seemed to be a good buy and while inexpensive they were not the cheapest item, about mid-range in price for the selection available on Amazon, so I thought they would work out ok.Trouble appeared the moment I opened the package, First these were shipped from Amazon and were tossed in a white "soft pouch" mailer along with a screw assortment I also had ordered. Between the rough handling in shipping, and the mail person insisting even oversized packages can fit in my mailbox, they arrived pretty beat up.It was actually amusing that the screws I ordered, made of steel and needing little protection, were all safe and sound in a sturdy plastic case, which was wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed in it's own box, very well protected. These trees however, obviously needing some protection, were just shipped in a very thin plastic resealable bag. I wouldn't even call it a ziplock type bag, as they are much thicker, this was about as thin as a bag can get and a few of the trucks were already poking through the bag.So I pull a few trees out of the bag and I can see a lot of bare spots with the plastic tree armatures being exposed and not looking very realistic at all. I didn't have the highest expectations, but these were really cheap toy looking quality. Pulled a few more out and it was apparent most of the green flock was floating around the bottom of the bag. I know the description says a limited amount may be present, but I would say it was about 25%. Just taking the trees out to snap a few pictures the flock was falling all over the mat. Even if I keep them I fear I will need to try and glue some of the flock back on to even make them somewhat presentable.Anyway, they may have been in better shape leaving the factory, but with no protective packaging whatsoever they will have a hard time making it to your door in usable shape. So not sure who is to blame, the manufacturer, the reseller, or Amazon, but I would suggest looking elsewhere for your model trees.

not ideal for scenery use
Purchased these intending to make reusable movable tabletop rpg scenery, not intended use so only subtracted one star for shortcomings. Need to provide a base, these do not stand up on their own and will tip over easily without weights on the bottom. Additionally, they shed the green 'leaf' plastic material quite readily unless sprayed with some kind of epoxy. If being stuck in the ground and not moved at all, these would both presumably be non issues. For scenery construction, not awful but have some flaws.

Great for School Projectd
Received exactly what I ordered. I used them on a Washington Monument school project. Works perfectly for the trees around the Reflecting Pool of the Washington Monument when project is done on foam poster board for a base.

Good for school projects most likely, Not so good for Table top games
Good for school projects most likely. Not so good for Table top games if you're really into making your own terrain like myself. These are just too small and the foliage flakes off really really easily. But if you're making some sort of woodland scene for a project and you won't be touching the trees very much, go for it.

They make a mess.
Look great but make a huge mess. The green part flakes off very easy.
