Hard plastic - Lids snaps VERY tight - Slides fit prefect
These are a couple of very well made boxes. The slide carrier pulls right out and the fit slides perfectly.Each slide aligns very well no issues at all.The caps snap on very tightly and require a little bit of elbow grease :-)Overall a very good deal

This will save me a great deal of time.This is built to very precise tolerances. And it fits together very well.These are also an excellent option just for storing slides.This is a very good purchase at this price point .
