Call this 2.5 it's a pretty durable speaker, but it is not very loud. It's loud enough if you are working in the house but you cannot hear it over tools running and if you were using it outside it would really only be good in a boat or in a cabin some place closed in. The battery lasts pretty long and it's a decent unit. Just disappointed about it not being as loud as I had anticipated. But for $30 it's a good buy for a work speaker you don't have to worry about getting paint on it or dropping it on the ground it's just not as loud as one would hope.

This portable bluetooth speaker has good overall sound quality. Bass reproduction is exceptional considering the difficulty of reproducing decent bass from such a small volume. The battery lasts for nearly a week when used for 2-4 hours a day plus it will recharge your phone while playing music. Long bluetooth range and flawless syncing plus weather resistance. Any perceived shortcoming is insignificant compared to the positive attributes of this system. I could tell it was probably a good product because of how modestly it is marketed. This rule was proven true again. GEEKBEATS beats Beats.

This portable speaker has great sound with solid range and bass. I use it exclusively as a Bluetooth speaker and the battery does last 24+ hours. After I had it for six months, the micro USB charger suddenly stopped working. I'm always skeptical about 'no hassle warranties' and other such claims. However, after I emailed Rugged Geek through Amazon, not only did I receive a quick response, but also that a replacement had been shipped already, which I received two days later! Now that's service and living up to a company's promises about backing its product!

The speaker sounds good and great value at $29 with the battery charger. My only complaint is the battery doesn't last as long asadvertised. I use at work about 5 to 6 hours a night. If I use it solely as a blue tooth speaker I get a couple nights. If I keep my phonecharged also it only lasts one night.

We loved out daughters so much we decided to go ahead and get this one. What I like about it most is that when I get a call while listening to music it goes to call, I answer, and can here them loud and clear while I talk walking around the shop. They can hear me too!

this speaker started blowing out after 2 months of use. I've had cheaper speakers that are better and last longer than this what a let down

Awesome battery and requires little charging. Sound quality is decent but could be stronger sounding. Overall it is a great speaker for the cost

I bought this as a door prizes for my company christmas party and really wish I would have bought one for myself as well. The speaker quality is excellent. I love that it is rugged and dust and water resistant. Also it charges your phone! It's awesome.
