May be best for thicker rugs, instead of thin and floppy ones

I received a sample for the purpose of review, and I think it's an interesting option, but not a 100% perfect solution to my area rug problem. I have a large floppy Ikea rug in the bathroom, that actually has a slightly rubberized bottom, but yet won't stay in place, and the edges flop around and curl dangerously. So I was desperate to solve the problem somehow, and thought about using rug mounting tape, but didnt want to leave residue on the tiles. I'd never heard of the Apipema system before, but now that I've seen them in person and tried them on the bathroom floor, I see the advantages and disadvantages.Pros:----Easy to apply. Just peel (the white side) and stick (to the bottom of the your rug.) It's less complicated than you think. The points of the arrows go in the outermost corners of you rug. The long arrow tails are just a way to give your extra surface area.----Fairly grippy. The black side of the arrow is like the bottom of a non-skid shoe or furniture stabilizer. They're heavy--so they add considerable weight to the corners of your rug, which is how your rug resists curling.Cons:----I noticed right away that the rug still slips out of place, especially if you're clumsy like me---the arrows have a noticeable thickness to them, so you can definitely catch the edge of the arrow with your foot, especially on a thin, floppy rug like the Ikea one I have. These arrows are probably best suited to thicker rugs that lay smoothly over the thickness of the arrows--not thin floppy ones.Overall, it's better than the way the Ikea rug was before. Bottom line: These arrows will probably be perfect for thick carpeting, but if you're using them on thin rugs, or god forbid you decide to DIY a canvas dropcloth rug from Pinterest.....(don't do it! it's a trap!) you might find that they help with edge-curl, but don't stop rug-skidding.
